Hi,

Basically was installing an AOI cooler and didnt realize that the sata power cable wasn't plugged into the psu. All of a sudden 5 minutes into running windows the whole system shut down in a thud! I couldnt figure out what the issue was for 5 more minutes after I found it out the cpu was running at lilke 0.80 mhz. Took another 30 minutes to repair windows damage and corruption after plugging it back in. Finally got it going again but really what kind of damage am I looking at?

Thanks

So now all my cores load under Prime95 below 60 degrees in the low 50s except one core that goes up to 66 degrees. Maybe the cooler not mounted evenly?

6850k at 1.285v at 4.2 ghz.

4.3 ghz not prime stable even at 1.3v. Temps about 5-10 degrees hotter.

Thanks

Its common to see a delta of up to ~10C between cores. Usually not as much related to HSF mount but more the lid or type of adhesive/solder job from Intel.
