One video says descent2018.com and the other descent2019.com ... this is why I took a wait and see approach with the kickstarter, however long ago that was. Need to make sure it doesn't require in-game $$$ upgrades. Seasons 1 & 2 and "cosmetic rewards" and future DLC already listed, eh.
You'll want to check out Overload if you haven't done so already. That one was actually made by the team that made the original Descent.

Wow, I remember some early pre production stuff on it and then completely forgot about it altogether. On my wish list now, thanks!
Sound track sounds pretty good too. Very Descent 2 style wise but not quick as "rock" ish.

It's by the same devs. D:U was multiplayer focused. Descent 2019 is supposed to be single player focused. I think the single player content was originally intended for D:U, but Descendent Studios secured funding for a new title and platform to sell it on (pretty much why they pulled their game from Steam). So my take is Descent 2019 is where things are for them moving forward.
I imagine it's also a way for Descendent Studios to milk more cash out of the Descent name. Thanks, Interplay...
As a huge (classic) Descent fan, Overload is the true successor to Descent. It may not have the name branding to market to the sheep, but it's certainly got the DNA. As someone has already mentioned, Overload is being developed by Revival Productions, who are comprised of mostly former Parallax/Outrage employees, the original creators of the Descent series.
