Thermaltake V3 - side panels made of aluminum foil?

So I have this case and I am not entirely sure what happened to the side panels, but they are less than straight. The case appears to be made of some really shitty, thin steel. Is there anything I can do to flatten them out again? Any creative ideas? I'd like to reuse it but I can't really get the side panels on...

send it back if you can, not sure if you just bought it or its just been sitting. i dont know of any way to reform warped/bent panels. besides replacing them that is.

no it's been sitting for a while. I was able to bend them enough to get them on but they look like shit. Not a big deal as its just an APU system and I'm going to shove it in a cabinet for maximum thermal efficiency....

Aluminium foil is too delicate.

1 or 2 MM thick aluminium sheet would be MUCH sturdier for a sidecover .

If you could flatten the curve in a roll of flashing you could have a not all that structural cover that would at least not tear as easily as foil.

I didn't mean I wanted to make a side panel out of foil lol. Anyways I still have the case but I'm most likely gonna chuck it. The motherboard tray bent too and was shorting out the system I built in it.... Worst case I've ever dealt with. The metal is just so damn thin that it was bending about as easily as aluminum foil.

Titanium plates are suprisingly inexpensive. 4"x4"x 2mm @ $10 ish.

You could cut out reinforcement patches to bolt to the bent areas and both straighten and keep straight.

If you really LIKE the (original) shape of the case you could get aluminium sheets and duplicate all the pieces of the case then bolt them all together.

Find a nearby place that does anodising and color coordinate the pieces with your RGB lightshow.

Or trash it and get something better. :)
