IMO, the game is worth $35 if you like the other Fallout games.
I set myself a hard limit of $20 in its current state. $25 if they patch it up nice.

They should have copied Zenimax's model for ESO. Sell the base game cheap, $10-$15 (or FREE) and then have an optional monthly premium service and booster shop.

Same here. Got it for $35 also and while it's not perfect it isn't THAT bad imho. As someone else here said, it pretty much plays like Fallout 4. Saw one person when I left the vault, (Who followed me around a bit....Creepy) but haven't seen too many others yet. Aside from a few small screen hiccups I haven't had really any bugs at all, and once my new system is done it should hopefully take care of that. (I play in 4K) I'd say for $35 or lower it's worth that so far for me. It's not perfect and for some it's probably too much to deal with, but for what it is i'm enjoying it so far.

I played today for an hour on my xbonex and didn't see any major problems. A couple of glitches here and there. I see potential and I'm going to give it a chance.

There's a german site selling it for 24 eur (about $27). I think it might be region locked though.

I keep an eye on ebay prices for people selling promo codes and such. It's still $40+ there... People need to get their heads out of their asses.

It’s funny once people actually play the game and try they realize it isn’t too bad. It does have flaws, but I think In This day and age people just like to get on the negative train for a product.

Now imo I think 40 is about the right price for this game. They need to work on it, but I’m having a blast! Some of these quests are funny as shit. Really love that robot rose!

I do notice a trend that reviewers seem to be forcing themselves to avoid saying anything positive about the game... Maybe for fear of backlash?
The skillup vid is 24mins long. He said he played 30 hours. The video is 100% negative opinions, not one redeeming quality. I kept waiting for him to say "despite all its problems, heres the one thing I liked in fo76" but it never happened. He even criticizes fo4's gunplay and the crafting system... Two things that were actually well received!

He didnt like a single thing in the game? Not even, idk, the radio tracks? It seems very forced.
At this point calling it a circlejerk is an understatement. Even "professional reviewers" are falling into the trap.

I'm still looking forward to ACG's review. So far GGG is the only one who went into this with any optimism.

Well, I saw a video where some guy referred to it as "bandwagoning" aka post a scathing review for the sake of clicks..

That, I believe.

Now, does the game deserve higher than a 6.5 in it's current state? NO.

Is it a completely unsalvageable P.O.S. with no redeeming qualities? Far from it.

Thats what I would rate it 6.5-7 in its current state.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this turned into a "Final Fantasy 14 Reborn situation".

But I sincerely doubt the game is just going to fade away into obscurity like some are insinuating.

I applaud you that you're able to keep googling reviews. But are you capable of making a decision based off of playing this game for your self?
After all, it is much cheaper right now. :)

Tell you what, buy me a copy, and I'll try it. However if you think I am going to pay money for a game that by all reviews isn't very good, well no. So if it is so amazing you feel I just most try it to see and that all the reviewers are wrong, I'll give it a shot if you get it for me. Otherwise, please stop with the "Oh reviews are crap you have to try it yourself!" It is very silly to suggest people spend money on something they cannot return and get a refund for if they are worried they might not enjoy it.

It's also kinda silly to post in a thread about a game you haven't played, and just blatantly dog on it.

If you're not playing and you've said your peace, leave it be....

How about listening to your fellow [H] member reviews for a change? Those who are playing it that is.

In other words you want me to listen to you and buy it to validate your choice? No thanks. I've been looking all around at opinions on this. On H, on Youtube, on Metacritic I'm curious what people have to say about it. However I'm particularly curious about what reviewers that I find to have tastes similar to mine say, extra so if they like the Fallout series. So far, the results are not good. As such, I'm not going to buy it. I'll keep an eye on it, because never know, it could improve but I'm not going to give them money for something that looks like I won't enjoy it. If they want to offer me 30 or 90 days return policy, as is typical with other things, sure I'll try it, likewise I'll try it if someone feels it is so amazing they need to give it to me. Otherwise, no I'm going to watch and wait.

I think you are confusing me with someone else. I've posted in this thread, but not much. Mostly I've been going after Eshelmen because of his ridiculous "Don't listen to reviews just buy it!" position. That is actively harmful to the game industry. If people buy things just because of the name, just because it "should be" good, just because some dude on a forum says it gives game devs license to release crap. The only way to hold companies to account is to vote with your wallet.

Also I'm failing to see why people posting reviews, as TaintedSquirrel did are "dogging on it". It is a thread about a game, a place people might come to for insight, don't you think a review would be insight? Threads on H are supposed to be for discussion, not just love fests.

yea I mean why dog on a game you havent even tried? We understand you dont want to buy or play it....We get it! Seriously go have fun playing another game you will enjoy.

I agree.

BUT, there is a happy middle-ground.

For example, I don't post in the Star Citizen thread even though it is the biggest joke in the industry.

Why? Because other people seem to be enjoying themselves and who am I to piss on their parade?

No, forget my opinion on the game. Read the rest of the [H] users whom are playing it.
Also, why put time into something we already know you're not going to buy or try? Wouldn't it be best to just leave it as is? Plenty of others out there to play. If you don't like something, why put effort into it at all after you've stated your original case? It's obviously clear that you care about this franchise, and the whereabouts of this game. But don't expect people who've actually played the game to not call you out on your shit when you know absolutely nothing else but specific bullet points based from negative/biased review sites/videos.

I told you to add me. And you never did :(
Eshelmen

As I stated before, I'm working on getting a nuke launched, not quite there yet. But maybe all of our hard members can get in on this and crash the servers together. lolol

"Lqdhorror"

My bad, this weeks been kinda "off".

I wanna play tonight but I'm waiting to hear back from RL people first lol

I'll know in about 2 hours broheim ;)

For the record, I'm gonna start a new toon. My first was just my "tweak gfx/explore" garbage toon lol

Sounds good. I may be on Sunday or Saturday night PST.

I may reroll, not sure yet. I've put a bunch of time in to my first toon already, as I'm approaching level 30. I can't figure out how to respec. If I can't do that, I'll make a new one as well
