Sapphire Vega 64 Newegg ebay $399.99

i ordered one but now i wonder if my corsair 750watt PS is enough, that calculator says i should pull about 729 watts ?

if you dont oc the gpu it should be fine.
edit: recommended is 750w

Recommended wattage was 563W LOL
With my undervolt clocking 4.2 ghz @1.08v

Maybe I should pull the trigger.... I have room for a full size PSU, as long as it's short, so I could grab one of those later
I just want the pulse to drop to 300 XD

I've been using seasonic when length needs to shorter... Microcenter has 750w under $50 - cooler master masterwatt 75 is $75

Those PSU calcs are only good for ball parking. You'll probably be fine. I find that most of the time it says I need more wattage than necessary.

The liquid RX Vega 64 has been down as low (that I've seen it) as $549 - its back in stock (looks as selling out quickly) at amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/d/Computer-G...&keywords=XFX+Radeon+Liquid+Cooled+Rx+Vega+64

Wonder with 2080 Ti on fire and nVidia now officially admitting there's problems, combined with 2080 owners commenting they too having problems, if any of this will give RX Vega 64 a little boost in sales...

Amazon prices are whack on video cards. They rarely put shit on sale and stick to MSRP mostly. Very rare. I mean I have seen newegg have had cheap vegas this month like every week. Amazon doesn't seem to care too much about video card sales.

Ok I bought one. My R290 will go into my brother’s overwatch box and pops gets the 960.

Hopefully this is enough to drive ultra wide 1080p...

Thanks for the heads up bois

well i just played some BF4 @1440 75Hz ultra settings, this card is WAY faster than my 280X for sure, i just need a DP cable do my HP omen can use freesync it seems, thanks for the advice everyone, so happy with it :)

Just wish I could find a "cheap" liquid cooled FE some place. It's hard to find FE's in stock, let alone liquid cooled ones. And when you do see even a standard FE, there is like a $300-$400 price premium over a standard 64, which makes no sense.
This deal is super sick though. I may just go ahead and pull the trigger here.

The HP omen should be able to do FreeSync over HDMI AND display port...Did you go I to the display options and make sure it is turned on?

Anyone having luck finding an eiswolf AIO watercooling kit for this Vega 64? Sorry for the off topic but I can’t seem to find them stateside...

Yes, amazon and Newegg, hard to find them as don't pull up by part number... if I stumble over them again I'll post. Also good option is EKWB MLC Phoenix, configure (at their site) and after add it to cart, remove CPU block - excellent AIO for RX Vega 64 (have one on my Titan Xp, price is good as well).

The problem is the HBM memory. It's the same problem the card mfg's faced. Different memory heights on the HBM from one mfg to another caused thermal interface issues on the heatsink

Well, whenever Canadian provinces start petitioning for US statehood so that they can better participate in the world's largest market... ;)
I have this issue too but since I live 10 minutes from a border town. I ship to a shipping depot address. A drive across the bridge and 5 bucks later I have my purchase. Saved a ton of money on shipping over the years.

Keep in mind many V64s can OC while undervolted... they're actually faster with less heat lol.
So your PSU should be fine it you're not pushing high OC, but you can still OC.
Another way to do it is add a smaller 12V booster PSU. I run dual smaller PSUs for this reason (450 and 500W and yes you can feed a single GPU from two PSUs).

Damn you're lucky. I have to wait for a biz trip or the help of kind members here.

Heard from someone with multiple cards on here (I think cctvinstaller) that said that issue is no longer a problem.
Most hot spot temperatures vs HBM temps I've seen recently are decent.

Yeah, the z height issue should not be a problem any longer. I have not heard anyone mention it, and everyone in the mining community pulls their HSFs and repastes etc.

But the memory is still two separate heights. So how did they solve it without offering two SKUs for heatsinks? Are manufacturers only using memory that leads to a flat profile? All 3rd party coolers I see use a perfectly flat cooling plate with no metal shims.

There were SKUs for both heights initially, I remember seeing this which was concerning, now there is one because production has improved. They'll never be perfect but they're within a few very small fractions of a tiny measurement lol.

$440 now. Price is creeping up.
figures....i dont really need the card anyway...been months since i had time to game anyway...i just wanted it because i wanted it lol..with that being said the division 2 might be the next game to draw me back in!

Keep an eye out for used FEs, few months back were $500. Not sure on LC though.
Get a cheap asetek AIO and strap that on if you want water.

It was still 400 on ebay via newegg for 400 earlier today but looks like that's changed back to 440 now... this is why I finally jumped after a year of watching. Seems black friday is a week earlier these days.

It's back to $399 right now and I just got a 10% ebay bucks offer giving me $40 cash back.

I really don't need this.................

I know right? $359.99 ugh... I literally have no need.. but hot damn its a nice price..

Gave in and bought it with the 3 free game promo via Newegg. Now to see if I can cram it inside my Evga Hadron mini itx case for an all team red build :p

so i am entertaining the idea of a possible air cooling upgrade, any good ones to look at ?

eBay will have a coupon tomorrow for 15% off.. meaning the ebay newegg store could be $60 off the $399.99 making it $339.99.. thats if newegg doesn't change the price by then.. I think this means I could use this at 12:01AM tonight? I am going to try.. Need to use the eBay app though to purchase it..

*edit.. ya i see it starts at 8AM tomorrow morning... Im pretty sure newegg will change the price by then but you never know i guess...

Well it worked.. I got it for $339.99.. hot damn what a deal!

*note someone mentioned on another forum (slickdeals*) that if you message newegg CSR after the card arrives, you may still be able to grab the AMD game voucher even though you bought it on eBay.. I am going to see if that's the case as well.. Probably not... but would make this an even hotter deal if that were true..

Yeah, that got me too, resistance is futile. Thanks NovaCloud for that, a fool and his money... Hope its not too damn loud even with the under volting. Should tide me over until they put out something worthy of spending the big bucks on...

A couple of people over slickdeals got rejected by Newegg. However, if you message AMD reward program team (or something like that) they will provide you with the 3 game promo.

If I didn't already have a 1080, I'd be all over this deal. Add in the 15% ebay coupon and that's what... $340?
