Mundfish has released its latest trailer for the game Atomic Heart. The trailer emphasizes the art style of the game where good can quickly turn to evil in a blink of the eye.

Atomic Heart is an adventure first-person shooter, events of which unfold in an alternative universe, during the high noon of the Soviet Union. The main character of the game is a special agent, who was sent to a highly secret object by the Soviet government after it went radio silent. Soviet setting with a pitch of insanity, action-packed gameplay and a thrilling story will keep you entertained for the whole duration of your journey into the world of Atomic Heart. Unfold the secrets, restore peace and order, and show the Motherland what you got!

wow so not sure what to make of this after watch more videos of it.

it looks like bioshock meets fallout.

i think this is the kind of game that will put it all on the graphic side, then when the game is released it will turn into a complete turd

You got all of that from a 20 second teaser... Interesting. Not saying there's no chance that you'll be correct, but I feel it works a bit better to wait and see more than just a teaser. I actually kinda liked that teaser's aesthetic actually. If they pull off a decent game inside that, it could be pretty fun. We haven't really had much in the way of interesting and twisted games in a while. I'd welcome a good one. This video isn't much to go on though.

I want the 15 seconds of my life back + the time it took to write this post.

That is the kind of stuff I see in my head on a daily basis. Very cool!!!!!

Go checkout the video on steam. WOW DAY ONE PURCHASE NOW! Creepy is a very good thing.

I like the theme and all the creepy stuff. You really need to watch more videos on Steam to appreciate the game.
If the game keeps it interesting and no repeating of the same thing over and over, this may be very cool.

The graphics won't probably be fully exploitable with good frame rates until the second Gen of the RTX.

None the less, I agree. I'm going to buy this when released.

Good thing we have an affordable ray tracing video card available capable of rendering this at more than 1080p

How long is one unoptimized benchmark of Tombraider going be used falsely? :)
I have seen RT working on 4K at +90 FPS...

My bad...I meant to say, "Reasonably priced" vs. "affordable" as affordable means a lot of different things to different people.

In fairness, I haven't kept up with ray tracing as there is virtually nothing that supports it at this time, it needs the new Windows October update to run that seems like its a beta right now, and the cards cost a fortune compared to my perfectly serviceable 1080Ti.

I wouldn't buy any game right now only for ray tracing. I only buy games that appeal to my gameplay tastes and interests.

I'm tired and read that as "Autistic Trailer" and was deeply confused for a few minutes. However after watching that trailer, perhaps that would have been an appropriate name.

You might want to keep up with what's going on a little bit better so you don't make a fool of yourself. Metro Exodus developers have already said they're targeting 60fps at 1080P and at the moment that's not even doable on a 1080ti. And Battlefield 5 they've had to cut back tremendously on the ray tracing at 1080p because a 1080 ti could not maintain anywhere near 60fps there too. And even Remedy has said that 1080p with Ray tracing on is going to be pushing it to get 60 FPS in Control.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't seen anything else about this until now for some reason. Those videos and shots look exactly like something I would enjoy playing. I like creepy more than just over the top yuck. For example, I decided against Agony as it just looked like garbage really. This though, looks insanely cool, and the right type of creepy for my brain. I like weird/twisted stuff, not disgusting/shock stuff. I love all of the little touches like everything seems to spin or have spinning parts. The visuals in the most general sense are totally catching my eyes with this one. Now I'm going to put it on my follow and wish lists.

Also, as far as system requirements go... For the normal version on Steam right now, they're targeting the GTX-1060 for RECOMMENDED. And the game looks very good. Maybe not revolutionary, but VERY good. With that as a base requirement, I think we could extrapolate that even the current generation of RTX cards could probably run this game decently well. Not a 1:1 extrapolation necessarily, but for one, the game doesn't look overly complex anyway, even though it looks good, and for another thing, that leads me to believe that this studio is decent at what they do.

Guess work until it's released of course, but after playing video games your entire life from around 1980 until now, you kinda get a sense for this stuff. :p

I'm placing my tentative bet that this game will look excellent on the 20xx series cards. I guess we'll find out in 2019. :D

And I have seen +90 FPS at 4K...after two weeks of playing with the hardware.
What you base you claims on are implementions after having the hardware for 3 days.

And such anger in you...bad for your health.

Ugh, kind of hated this. But I had to give it a second chance. Here's a proper trailer that has some gameplay

That's more like it. Art for art's sake is an empty phrase

Oh so you've seen over 90 FPS in 4k using RT in some unreleased game that you're not even mentioning the name of? Over here in the real world I'm talking about the AAA games that everybody knows about and it's 100% fact that they're all targeting 60fps at 1080p with a 1080ti with RT and at this point that's not even happening yet.

Source, I'll still be waiting.

Shots fired.

In his magical world they are going to go from 30-40 fps at 1080p in Shadow of the Tomb Raider with RT to getting 2 to 3 times higher framerates at 4 times the resolution. That would be some special "optimization". Even without RT features a 2080 ti cant even average anywhere near 60 fps at 4k with all other settings maxed in that game.

I guess Gaijin makes "magic" then?

Waiting for excuses...and more Ad Hominem...

LOL this is what you're using for your argument? The discussion goes back to talking about real AAA games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider where you seem to ignorantly believe that it's going to magically run several times better at release. Again you need to get through your thick skull that all the AAA games are targeting 60fps at 1080p with Ray tracing on and that is 100% fact.

No I mentioned the bad example of using code that has been tweaked for just 3 days on the hardware as piss poor argumentation.
The devs of TR was surprised themselfes that the code would even run at 4K, when a journalist tested it at their setup.

Facts...like them or not.
The devs now are testing code on hardware, learning...remember it’s the devs that are thrilled at Raytraycing...they want it...so you better get used to it.
