Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may have ditched the campaign mode for more multiplayer content, but Battlefield 5 still has a singleplayer campaign.

Check out the new trailer for it here.

Discover the untold stories of World War 2 with Battlefield V's single player War Stories. In Nordlys, resist German occupation in Norway, sabotage behind enemy lines as an unlikely English soldier in Under No Flag, fight for a home you've never seen in Tirailleur, and in The Last Tiger (available in December) join the crew of a Tiger I as they question why they fight. Battlefield V is out worldwide November 20.

I'll wait till I find it for $5-10 somewhere in 2 years time to give it a play through. The MP beta wasn't to my personal tastes. While it's taken a long time for EA to destroy DICE, the transformation seems to be nearly complete.

to me, BF died after 2142 and Bad Company is what started the decline. the non-BC games started taking the cues from BC and that was the end. Last BF game I played was BF3 and I didn't play it very long. I would really love them to go back to 1942 when we had ships, carriers, subs, bombers, and TONS of other vehicles.

since we completely omit the swashtika and direct references to nazis, cant i just play as the germans now and shoot up some good ol' limeys and yanks? that would be kind of a nice change a pace from these stale franchises. i love black ops 4 right now though,,,

I've become such a PC snob, Every time a game starts off with the Xbox or Playstation logo my interests drop 50% and I get annoyed at the end when they say Games play best on Xbox 1. Outside of that, I'm still scratching my head on why the Battlefield series adopted a Single player story, I'm sure it was to compete with call of Duty, but it's always been a so so part of the game. Every minute they spent on the Single player is time that should have been spent on the multiplayer. Maybe if BF5 does poorly enough, they'll cut back on BF6 to be purely MP.

Because videogame development is a business. Businesses seek to make money. Fwiw I thought BFBC2's campaign was superb.

And then you'll have people screaming "no SP? Dice SUXX" - literally anything they do, someone will be squirting tears and lamenting a bygone era of the series that would be complete financial suicide to do the same way today.

I'm sure it'll have ray tracing and dlss (later) but I swear if the SP campaign is only an hour long I'll avoid it.

I don't even know why they made this game look how good COD WW 2 went over and Battlefield 1. Everyone knows modern BF games go over the best not some SJW game with females that look like they are from the modern era.

Ha! With the way they're going, 50% off by Christmas. I guess they don't realize that no one playing battlefield cares about single player.

BFBC2 SP was great and even BF3/BF4 campgains were enjoyable, (though mostly for parts that really ran with the idea of destructible environments). BF1 SP felt very uneven with the 6 separate mini-campaigns instead of one interconnected story. The end result was little focus on plot and trying to cram in as many different characters as possible - reeked of trying to appease everyone. BF1 campaign(s) are best summarized as excuses for action set pieces at the expense of any coherent story.

I don't have high expectations for BFV SP campaign since it looks like it will closely follow BF1, but I would be happy to be proven wrong.

IMO once DICE reigned in the cheating on PC, BF1 became a worthwhile purchase just for the multiplayer. You get the occasional hacker (on public North American servers), but for the most part they seem to have been banned or moved on.

Same thing said about COD. And now there is outrage because of no SP campaign. I always thought it sucked anyways lol.

This will be the first BF game in the series that I will not purchase on release day.

People will complain either way.

I picked up Black OPS and this being the first COD title to own I was very much underwhelmed with my purchase. I much prefer any BF title over the latest COD. I wish I could return my purchase of it to be honest because it sure as hell doesn't feel like a $60 purchase.

I honestly couldn't tell if this took place in WW2 or today. Everything today I have to look at with SJW detection glasses cause all too often there's something altered for cultural appropriation. If Battlefield wanted to make a single player WW2 game that was good then something like The Guns of Navorone would have been cooler and was inspired by the Battle of Leros. Otherwise this single player campaign just checks off a sales requirement.

Modern Warfare was the only SP campaign I liked plus some of the older COD games. Battlefield SP campaigns were/are mostly underwhelming.

Stick to just MP or at least make a serious effort to develop a decent and lengthy SP campaign.

The last tiger mission will be the first time in history where in an FPS WW2 game you can play as the Germans in the singleplayer campaign.... Something I've waited for for a long time.

Battlefield is going to be better than BO4 by default excluding Blackout mode. SP mode is a total bonus even if it is only a few hours long.

The deathmatch maps in Black Ops 4 are so hilariously claustrophobic, I can't tell if the game is a joke or not. No windows or vantage points of any kind for sniper rifles, longest range combat you'll ever get in close enough for SMGs. Want my moneez back.

I remember being able to play as the Germans in Battlefield 1942 single player campaign. It was futile though because even if you won all the battles it made no difference on the overall war and you were still fighting in a destroyed Berlin by the end of the game.

A handful of people complaining about no single player is irrelevant. BF has always be a Multiplayer game, it was nice they offered a single player part, but it's a waste of time for a game like BF. When all else fails, return to your roots and do what you did that made you great to begin with. I'm not opposed to SP, but only after they have the MP 100% of where they want it

I hear you. I started with BC2 and after the disappointment BF1 was I am not buying on release day either.

Seriously? I thought the SP campaign in BF1 was maybe the best campaign DICE has ever made. The war stories were killer.

If you're talking about the MP, I kinda agree that it was a letdown and a bit too infantry-only run&gun after the thousand hours I spent in BF4. I do love huge sandboxes of asymmetrical warfare, where all the vehicles and aircraft are big toys to choose between.
