Switches/router not made in China?

Does anyone know any company that sells switches or routers not manufactured in China? Thx
 
I think you might be able to find one of the original car phones on ebay that doesn't have Chinese parts in it (from the 80s). Take it apart and repurpose the modem. And, BAM! New router!

Seriously though, I'm not aware of any company that doesn't at least source their parts from China. Their manufacturing is so cheap.
I have some hardware from these guys http://pcengines.ch
They're really good at what they do. I think they might even source their parts from China. But, I won't be able to physically verify until later tonight.
Edit: from anything I could find/see, they source their parts from Taiwan.

I believe some components of MikroTIk are made in Latvia, but not sure how mcuh that has changed over the years.

Are you asking because of the tariffs or due to the Bloomberg thing?

It's by our department policy, I contacted MikroTIk a couple of months ago for one of their 24 port Gigabit switches, and they told me it's made in China.
 
Check with Meraki - I know their stuff is assembled and "mfg" in Taiwan, but I don't know if that includes the silicon inside as well. All I know is that I haven't heard of them being affected by the tariffs like Aruba and/or traditional Cisco have.
 
My Meraki MX64 router and MR33 AP both say "Made In Taiwan" on the bottom.

Not sure if that's the same as "not a single transistor originates from China" though.
 
It is hard to truely find anything electronic not made in China. Even if it says it was made somewhere else. They are very loose with the made in where ever tag.

An d their devices are being exploited to hell and back lately and full of bugs.
 
Even if something is labeled from a country NOT China, good chance a fair number of the parts came from China. Better get a written statement from your purchasing folks on just what their 'Not from China' policy really means. Your folks may have to decide between something with China parts or doing without. And as others have pointed out, non China gizmos have security issues as well.

i'm paying attention, and i've actually been reading the articles... i've yet to see compelling evidence, nobody is providing their sources, the closest thing to somewhat compelling evidence is the cambridge lab article on how it MIGHT be possible, but this article is grasping at a tremendous amount of straws, basically because bloomberg is not providing any technical info or sources...

it's FUD until they actually provide something

let's assume the chinese do have spy chips in your networking gear... is it really even something to be concerned about? if you are big enough or important enough to need to ensure no chinese spying, you've got the resources to examine your equipment
