Just released in Taiwan and China. Price for the 512GB is about $1,100 USD, while a 128GB version will be released later for $875 USD. Expected release in the US is mid-December, but you can import one for around $1,300 USD right now. It looks like it is compatible with all major network standards.

It comes with a number of accessories all centered around gaming, including a larger battery pack and second screen/controller. All the accessories together are around an additional $1,000 USD. I can't find any information on the individual accessories yet.

The screen is a 6" AMOLED in 18:9 flavor with a resolution of 2160x1080 and has full HDR support with a peak brightness of 550 nits. CPU is a Snapdragon 845 clocked at 2.96 GHz running on Oreo 8.1. Battery is 4000 mAh (can't find whether or not it's removable, but it doesn't look like it is). And it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack!

Oh god I'm a sucker for dual screen or folding/flip phones... will be keeping an eye out.

Keep in mind that the second screen shown in the second screenshot is an additional accessory. I can't find any pricing or availability information on it right now.

To be honest that's what I'm loving about this phone, expandability, then back to no BS biz phone when I need it. It would be amazing on a steam link too, I hope ASUS has thought of this.
Oh and 3.5mm jack!

Not really my cup o tea but I really like that they are not afraid to try new things and be different. it doesn't feel like the big phone manufacturers are innovating in any way.

Seems overly complicated with that second screen accessory. Looks like you have to pull off your phone case for that.

Preorders in the US open October 18, but still no word on actual ship date. The 128GB version is $899 and the 512GB version is $1,099. The second screen dock is $400. A number of the other accessories and their prices are discussed in the article.

They're screwing themselves with pricing. While ASUS and ROG is a renown name in PC gaming, no one else is going to know who the fuck they are and won't drop that kind of cash on them.

Frigging insane when you can buy a Nintendo Switch + XBox One X + OnePlus 6/T for the price of this phone with its docks. If you just want to burn money, I could help!

This one could sway me away from Samsung. Thou as oety as it seems I do dislike the lack of removable storage

I have seen the pre-production sample of this phone. They all have weird pink hue / tint on display. Which is common on Galaxy S8/S9....

Can anyone who have this phone check if they have similar issue still? Or is the problem solved?

Tempting to get one since Pixel 3 is a disappointment.

Microsoft has the 512GB still available for preorder. Shows a release date of November 2.

On a side note, I think the Microsoft Store has the best packaging for shipped packages I have seen recently.

PECVD? It tends to give a purplish or pinkish hue to the glass.
