This board died on me a while back, I didn't put much effort into troubleshooting and it was out of warranty. Pulled it out today and wanted to give a shot at getting it going. CPU pins all look good to me. When I try to power it up, the PSU fan kicks on, the error code numbers start going, but it quickly dies and then tries again. It just goes in an endless loop like this. I am linking a short video, anyone think there is any hope for it?

Did some further testing, got into the bios and was actually able to start installing windows on a disk, but if you reboot or anything the issues start all over. I think I am going to call it dead. I'm sure Asus would charge an arm and a leg to fix it.

You could try a Cmos reset if you did not try already, also check for an updated bios, you never know.

replace the battery, see if that helps. ive seen dying ones cause all sorts of issues.

I'm having the same issue with the same board. Actually.

I can SOMETIMES get into the BIOS with a few proper resets.

The code often hangs at d0.

I can get windows to install.

My main system is down for an RMA. Board's been in storage for 2 years.

Interesting, yeah mine has been in a box for a long time, started acting weird and I just replaced it with a Z77 and moved on.
Sometimes mine will hang at a code too, different one, sometimes it will die before it stops on a code, clearing cmos, moving ram around seems to do something, sometimes, but its way to fussy to try and build something
with, would be too much of a nightmare. It was a sweet board in its time.
