Noctua NH-U12S adequate with a 9900K?

Thoughts, anybody? The TDPs match up at 95W and it seems to have a bit of headroom (2 out of 3 asterisks for overclocking, though I plan on staying at stock speeds). Has anybody used this with a hot chip without issue? I've been using it with a 6700K rated at 91W.

the 9900K has double the cores of the 6700K While you can get a lotta mileage out of that cooler with the 6700K, when you start cranking up an 8-core CPU, you will be limited in the all-core overclocks. Especially if you start pushing an all-core overclock and messing with voltage it will end up running way beyond its TDP. The 95w TDP is predicated on a single turbo clock hitting 5 giga-hurts. With a chip like that I wouldn't skimp on the cooler and get one of the bigger ones.
 
Running stock it will be more than adequate. I would not be surprised if you could get a decent overclock out of it even.

The extra cores will increase temps, but a soldered IHS will lower them.

Thanks Kyle, that's just what I was looking for. I'm still a bit unclear about why there are different specs posted on the Noctua site about the TDP between the various sockets. Do they post those values because those are the maximum ratings for each socket, and it's to show that the cooler will cover those ratings?

I honestly do not know. The footprints on CPUs are different so that would impact how the heat is transferred.
