The XCOM 2: War of the Chosen - Tactical Legacy Pack -Legacy Ops is now out on PC. It features all new game modes, maps, weapons and armor, soundtrack and more. The game is free to play on Steam for the next 2 days. To get the free Legacy Ops DLC, the base game and War of the Chosen expansion must be purchased by December 3, 2018. After that date it will cost $7.99.

The Tactical Legacy Pack includes a collection of new game modes, maps, weapons, armors, Photobooth options, and more that honors the legacy of the XCOM series. Requires XCOM 2, and the XCOM 2: War of the Chosen expansion to play.
 
Good find, I will have to get that when I get home. I would love if they kept adding new missions and storylines to this series as potential add-ons, though at least there is tons of other fan made content in the Workshop which really makes the XCOM games worth buying.
 
Great games. I own XCOM2 but only vanilla, did they ever sort out the bugs that break Ironman mode? From my experience if you play Ironman you will eventually get screwed because the game will get stuck on a turn and you can't get past it without hex editing some files.
 
I finished vanilla Xcom 2 but just barely. I might buy War of the Chosen expansion if I see it for like $5. Still too pricey right now.

WOTC DLC is not just some miner changes like other games typically do, it's like going from xcom 2 to xcom 2 longwar it plays like a different game, it's worth it especially for $5 and now this free new game Mode that comes with it now

Sure, but it isn't $5. You have to have it already and then get this $8 expansion... expansion? I'm confused.
 
If you have WOTC right now, you get the new content just released. After Dec. 3rd, the new content becomes DLC for $7.99. Greenman gaming had WOTC for $16.99 but looks like they're out of keys according to comments on the sale page.

Well it looks like you get 10 hours of story missions for your 8 bucks. Not sure if the rest of is its more than just cosmetic or applicable to campaigns.

Xcom 2 +dlc is insane at this point. Not on sale its around $120 for core+dlc everyday price(not full retail). I mean come on where is the game of the year or gold box, its impossible to get new blood.

On GMG digital deluxe edition: 14 pounds, war of the chosen 15 pounds. So you can get everything under $40

I was talking more of "first party keys". I forgot which GMG site i got mine from(wingqamingstore or something), i was salty about missing out on the 3 day sale of WOTC when in first got released, and bought EVERY dlc plus core for $24.

Still if you go to any "official" site, how much would it cost to buy core+WOTC+(player mecs/rulers), even on sale?

You mean on steam? Haven't purchased anything there in years that was available elsewhere.
 
Dang, I just finished WOTC and uninstalled, guess i'll reinstall tonight and check it out. Love me some XCOM.
 
I see WOTC for $36 on humblebundle, $24 on Amazon, $17 on GMG....

Going to hold out for a better sale I think... OTOH I am travelling for Thanksgiving and it might make a good laptop game (never tried, I assume intel i5 shitty gfx can handle Xcom 2)...
 
Do you still get playable mecs and rulers if you have just core+WOTC, while playing just WOTC?
 
Wooo got gold nightmare by the skin of my teeth on the first arc. 1800 in the green, so would have lost if i got hit by just one viper poison, or 2 ticks on fire.
