2080ti Availability

Bah. Just got an update email that my card will be shipping on the 10th. Looks like I have a pending reversal of the $1,300 Nvidia initially charged me last Thursday though... So I guess it's back to constantly checking NowInStock for the next week.

Just got my shipping notification for Friday via Fed-Ex from Digital River - and my card was officially charged. I have also yet to get the actual shipping notification from Nvidia and my order still says 'processing'.

If you haven't already, sign up for Fed-Ex's package manager service. They will notify you of anything that is being sent to your address via their service.

For reference, I ordered at 12:22pm on August 20th and had an original shipping date of October 8th.

Wonder if these things are going to be hard to obtain for any length of time. With demand, Christmas coming, the fall / winter gaming season I'm going to assume yes.

Well... Early in the morning on August 21st, I looked into pre-ordering a second 2080 Ti (I know, I know). By then (about twelve hours after the initial announcement) the estimated ship date was already the middle of November if that gives you some idea... Or Nvidia was falsifying information to increase pre-sales.

Supply and demand are sketchy, particularly since we have no real insight as consumers as to the real measure of either.

Perhaps the tepid reviews that almost universally knocked the pricing will have had 'freed' some stock for the holidays?

I'll probably pick up a second card, but I'm going to wait till I can just walk into Frys/MC/BB and just grab it. I don't expect that will be until at least late November/Early December.

If they got some in, Newegg, Microcenter might have also had some drop shipments come in. I would go in early tomorrow, 10am opening and see.

The guys at Microcenter said if they get any more it would be random drop shipments here and there at least in the begging. Was there best guess.

Huzza, I'm moving to MN (hopefully) soon. Really looking forward to getting out of the desert and going back to the midwest (i'm from OH10).

Cool! Ping me when you arrive (if it's near the greater Minneapolis area) and let me know if you want any advice as to best places to live (schools, affordability, pros/cons, etc.) Been here since 2001 so know some of area in and around Minneapolis fairly well. And first beer is on me! :)

Already sent a flamer to them to see if I can get a discount or a free game. They have pretty much boned this whole thing up pretty nicely.

Seriously. I was thinking that Nvidia should offer some kind of gift voucher or even a free game to make things right. Sadly though, the f@ckers probably know they can get away without doing anything.

Truth. They have 0 competition. They have no incentive to offer any gifts/discounts to those who have been waiting.

Welp. Nowinstock is awful sad looking considering it’s launch day.

BestBuy turned on the “pickup in store” which I get, “unavailable within 250 miles” heheheh

My buddy works at MicroCenter corporate, and said they don't even get notification / tracking info for when they are coming into the warehouses or stores. They literally just show up and they maybe get 24 hours notice. Like...how could it be this bad?

So are the $1000 TI's ever gonna happen or is that just a pipe dream? lol

All those AIB cards.. Even the crappy Asus blower one were supposed to be $999. That's what was intended based on the announcements. Newegg may sell them for $1100 in 2020? Or maybe not because of the tarrif situation? Either way the pricing issue we have here is most definitely due to Nvidia and E-tailers seeing that people would pay $1400 for a 1080ti during the crypto mining GPU shortage crisis of 2017-2018. XD

They're just pushing the limits of what consumers are willing to spend, and the consumers have spoken by throwing wads of cash at their monitors without hesitation.

I'm not signed up to anything with FedEx and I received a text this morning letting me know my card would be delivered today and requires a signature.

Link to the Twitch stream?

Man... Not quite yet. I'm a working old person.. I've arranged for the kids to stay at grandparents tonight, then gonna take my wife out to dinner.. (have to pay my dues LMAO, happy wife = happy life), then I get to go home and disassemble my PC for cleaning and finally install the 2080ti. (last time I rebuilt the computer was when pascal launched. lol)

I wish all the stupid miners would die so that we could buy these cards at affordable prices. What was that? This is nVidia's fault?

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED... aka.. I got my 2080ti FE just now. It's been an ordeal brothers. thank you for being here with me. XD

Welcome man! Load up those old games .... I promise you will be pretty amazed. Games take on a different feel for damn sure.

The 2080 Ti is like taking a Dodge Hellcat down the quarter mile. Lot of guys in the stands want one but it's you ... you behind the wheel haha.

Go grab Shadow Warrior 2 for free and crank up the settings beautiful game!

I have an EVGA 2080ti and a MSI Duke 2080ti on order. I'll probably keep the MSI and sell the EVGA here on the forum, no markup! ;)
Now how to figure which Microcenter to go to. 3 in a close radius and none know when they will have stock.

Mine delivered yesterday. Had a little overheating trouble at first, but I got it sorted with the MSI Afterburner beta.

These cards are great, getting around 50% better performance versus the GTX 1080 SLI they replaced.

Running in 7680x1440 144Hz: Far Cry 5 High settings 90 - 100fps, Dying Light High settings over 100fps.

Some older games I had installed, F.E.A.R. 2 and Half Life 2 Ep1, getting 141fps locked (frame cap), no dips.

The price was steep, but I'm happy with the performance. As long as I can get over 90fps in new games, it still feels smooth with G-Sync.

Man.. for the first time I'm able to run 4k with all details cranked up. (No MSAA though) Solid 60 FPS or more, even with my not so new CPU. Everything is so crisp and detailed now, but with that motion clarity added in.

Kansas City Microcenter has these 2 x 2080 ti's in stock as of 45 mins, an hour ago. DO NOT rely on their online stock. It does not reflect what they actually have in. Trust me, I'm down there 3 - 4 times a week.

They also have the new MSI z390 Godlike Motherboard in stock but it's not reflected on their web site as an example.

Awesome and thanks for the invite, I'm always up for a beer (or 2) :)

So are these things still not in stock anywhere? I wanted a MSI Gaming 2080 Ti :(
