New(ish) to AMD, having issues with Freesync

What is the best feature or list them in order of importance, please.

48-144hz refresh rate with LFC (low frame rate compensation)
HDR 600 support
Samsung Quantum dot (colors just pop) even at 31% brightness it looks great!
Games with HDR look pretty impressive like far cry 5.
Eye care mode to reduce night light.

Stand is top notch with tilt and height adjustments. Didn’t know how much I would appreciate it until I finally had it lol.

Text is sharp. I had pixio monitor that I returned and it wasn’t nearly as sharp as this one. I am really impressed with this monitor.

Nice I have this. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-C32H...e=UTF8&qid=1538362920&sr=1-1&keywords=c32hg70

the reviews on this are fairly old and Samsung has since update the monitor few times. The new freesync range is from 48-144hz. Also I tried another 32inch VA panel the quality was just not the same. This monitor is sharp and colors just pop, even at lower brightness it looks damn good. And with the latest firmware update this is butter smooth with freesync 2.

I spent another 100 on this monitor got it for 539.99 on sale at frys. I returned Pixio 32 inch monitor. Pixio 32 inch just did not look as good as Samsung, even at 2560*1440p the edges looked jagged around icons and colors were not that impressive. When I got the Samsung it just popped right away and sharpness was noticed right away.

Loving this monitor. I went from widescreen gsync to this monitor. I was tired of watching video content on 3440x1440p widescreen format lol. So I went down to this monitor and everything works great.
The blacks are noticeably better looking on the display I just got. Like you said earlier, it's a good thing this happened, otherwise you wouldn't have found a much better monitor!

edit: somebody said that, anyways lol

Yea man. I have the samsung display at 31% brightness and set it according to tft central. I sware this thing even pops at 31% brigthness lol. Quantum dot thing is no joke. Its really much better on the eyes and I don't even have to turn on night light mode or eye care mode. I feel like this samsung is worth every penny. Works great and don't have to deal with wide screen format issue also don't have to change DPI because of 4k display. I think I am sticking to 1440p 144hz screen for now.

Mine seems pretty dang bright too. Dropped brightness from 90 to 65. Havent' calibrated it yet. I don't know which samsung panel mine uses. I don't think its the quantum dot, but it still looks fantastic. It's a good feeling when a computer part exceeds expectiations.

That's what I have exactly! love it!
I just ordered 27" version, I think you have the 32" version. Anyways great seeing a [H]ardOCP user critiquing the monitor. Makes my decision much easier. Thanks

yea I didn't want to go too low. Update your firmware when you get it. Samsung's site is stupid when I tried to update the 32 inch, the 32inch page had file for 27inch version lol! Someone messed something up. Good thing I research, so I found a link and someone found the 32 inch latest firmware on their korean page lol. Flashed that and it was set, however I do think they mostly fixed everything with the firmware before and I may not have needed to update. I didn't test the range out of box and I think I had the firmware one before the latest one which should have been fine but I am a sucker for having the latest thing. Haha. But everytime I look at this monitor its frickin amazing its set to 31% brightness I am always checking. Must be the quantum dot thing.

What card or cards are you using to drive it.

I know this is an old thread, but I've had the same problem with my monoprice monitor since I bought it in the summer. Their support is pretty useless imo. They just offer to replace it as soon as you complain, but neglect to admit the fact that this happens on of these monitors. I'm tempted to send it back to see if a new batch of monitors has the freesync issue resolved, but I'm hoping they will just offer me a refund. At this point I'd rather just spend the money on a more expensive monitor that works.

I have yet to see one post from a single user that says their freesync works fine. The only time I don't get flickering is if I keep my settings low enough to keep the fps over 100.

Absolutely unacceptable that they just keep selling these monitors as freesync monitors when it's clearly broken.
