Shipping Notifications

Of course, Newegg shipped my $1200 purchase via FedEx "SmartPost", so it's going to take a week to travel across the country. Took 2 days to travel from CA to NM, wow!

As soon as Newegg starts charging me sales tax, I am so done using them. ;)

They were also bought out by China so if you use them you are helping the commies.

Best Buy charged my credit card (WTF) but didn't ship the 2080ti. I am just going to put it in my mind I am getting it the end of October. Anything sooner would then be a positive... I like it when they tie up your funds for no reason.

I hate it when they don't give us an option for faster shipping. ;)

lol.

with a new toy like this, I always pay the ridiculous overnight fees...except when buying direct from NVIDIA because I've been down that road and either shipping option nets the same result since I live in MN and that's where the 2080 Ti shipping factory lives!

LOL, SmartPost is the worst thing ever. It's like a hybrid of FedEX and the USPS, but with the worst qualities of both. My wife is always ordering her make-up via some place that permanently uses it. The package will ship to our city in less than a day and then sit here for 3-4 days before being actually delivered.

I'm a ShopRunner 2-day Free shipping member, not sure why they downgraded me to this SlowMo Cheapo service. Oh well. :(

Thanks for clarifying. I have never seen such slow tracking for any online purchase I've made. I figured "It's FedEx, I'll have it by the weekend." Wrong.

Anyways, first world problems and such. I'll just have to suffer with my TXp for a few more days.

Yeah, baby!!! Took next week off work, if the cards come in time I will be stoked.

At this rate you should have taken the week after next!

My CC got charged today.....and then a few hours later I finally got the Oct 5th delay email lol

Yeah, this is what I was worried about. Charging a week before shipping shouldn't be the case, hopefully it's not.

Mine arrived today... Super surprised as I only ordered on Sept 9th... Next Day via NewEgg... Comes with a quickstart paper, Hdmi to DVI Cable, and that's It... No Driver Disk (about time they did away with those).... Getting drivers now...

Must have been a ton of pre-order cancellations. My delivery date was in the middle of November, but my card was just charged today. I chose expedited shipping, so hopefully it comes in sooner rather than later. :)

Mine actually showed up around 2PM yesterday. It uses 2 power connectors rather than the 1 my GTX 1080 used. Beyond that, installation was quick and easy. Definitely re-install your Nvidia drivers. There's a USB-C driver associated with the card that won't install otherwise and my system was bugging out trying to figure out what it was.

It's a beast performance-wise. Games I used to run at 4K x 0.65 are now pushing 4K/60 permanently with no resolution render modifier. Games that previously struggled in higher resolutions (like Dark Souls 3) are now running really well. It will also do Full RGB and output HDR which my 1080 simply would not. It makes it easier to use the same color profile across all of my devices.

I, and many others, pre-ordered our FE 2080 Tis directly from Nvidia at a premium price back on August 21st and were charged on September 27th... And have yet to receive a shipping notification. Meanwhile, people who ordered an aftermarket EVGA 2080 Ti from Newegg on September 27th and chose overnight shipping received their cards on September 28th.

All part of the Founders Edition experience?

I wonder if these FE chips are highly binned thus causing a shortage? It is interesting that AIBs are launching before nVidia so I'm guessing there was some production snag and that maybe binning is the reason. I'm just hoping that nVidia isn't just charging cards and that shipments will go past next week.

I think it's probably just a high binned 2080 chip thus there isn't alot of chips going around. If the shortage is for a few months from now that is probably the low yield.

I'm suspecting low yield. The GPU is 700mm+ and you don't get many from a wafer after defective ones are binned out. Anyone thinking this card should be the same price as a 1080 Ti are out of their gourds based upon GPU costs alone.

Got a surprise notice from Amazon.com this morning that my EVGA RTX 2080ti shipped and will be delivered today. So odd since my update I got from them on Friday said 10/5-10/9... oh well, I'll have something to play with today

I've been playing a hell of a lot more games now that I have the 2080 ti. Mostly to see what 4K looks like on ultra settings.

WoW looks amazing. You can see stuff way off now.

I tried maxing Minecraft distance and yeah ... that killed my system ahaha ..

It's def a night and day difference over the older nearly 2 year old 1080 Ti ... at 4K of course. This April, the 1080 Ti will be 2 years old. hard to believe.

I'm pretty confident that normal 1080 owners will be happy with this card as an upgrade. Outside of Shadow of the Tomb Raider (which has a few crazy system-killer settings) and oddballs like GTA5, this card can do 4K/60 with vsync on with anything you throw at it. It's actually pretty amazing how much better some games look even going from resolution scaled 75% of 4K up to the real deal.

nVidia/DigitalRiver billed my CC last Thursday, there better be packages going out today or tomorrow.

Confirmed my status also now says processing.

No reason to not do a clean install with a new video card, especially a new generation.

This. If they billed my CC and they state processing takes no longer than 2 business days then I better see a card on my doorstep by Wednesday.

I finally got an email from Amazon saying my Gigabyte 2080 TI OC is delayed until 10/18/2018. I ordered it about 3:00 PM on 8/20/2018 with overnight shipping. I called Amazon and complained. They instantly offered 10% off of the $1200 list price so I reluctantly accepted. $1080 for this card makes it much more reasonable but I really wish it would get here sooner.

Not a bad compromise in my book.

Just so you know - the NEW newegg might not charge you tax but they have ratted out customers who didn't pay their own instate use tax in the recent past (Connecticut and maybe Maryland IIRC), when asked. No subpoena or anything. The state asked and they just rolled right over and printed out the customers list for that state and sent it right back. The NEW newegg does not have your back anymore (like the old Egg) - they will sell you out at the drop of a hat. Just a heads-up for folks buying from the Egg still.

That's actually a pretty killer deal. I would have done that had it been offered :p

Post screenshots of minesweeper in 4k.

NVidia never ships out quickly. From past experiences, it almost always takes a week after a product purchase, even with overnight shipping, to get the item. Fortunately, the week started in August, so I'm expecting Monday or Tuesday of next week for people to start getting them.

Their idea of a week? It just works.

I hope Nvidia gets cancer.

I was charged $1,300 on Thursday (which prevented me from pulling the trigger on an EVGA 2080 Ti on Friday when they were available) and my order status has said "Processing (allow 1 - 2 business days)" since then. That time frame has come and gone.

Where's my fucking shipping notification Nvidia?

Yes this release has made me a little salty.

Yeah I almost got hit by a UPS truck in the parking lot yesterday while putting some money on my debit card for a 2080.
He was going about 40mph usually I can pick up on that stuff in the parking lot but for some reason his truck was silent.

Enjoy the thermal throttling on that trash FE cooler. :ROFLMAO:

Do tell? Last time that I heard the stock NVIDIA cooler wasn't up to par was with the TITAN V. The rest have simply been blowers which do well depending on application.

I'd rather have a "stock" NVIDIA cooler for now and upgrade to a real aftermarket cooler card like MSI Lightning versus all of these currently available "in betweeners"...

I dunno...every review so far comparing an AIB card to the FE seems to show the AIBs reaching higher clocks before throttling back down.

Just got notification that my Gaming X Trio from Best Buy shipped today. Order placed on 9/11.
