I have been wanting to do a full custom loop for a long time and have decided to take the leap with this update/upgrade. The EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 is on order, and the foundation is being laid. Here is the parts list and progress thus far...

This parts list will be continually updated as the build continues:

Bitspower Silver Shining Fittings
Bitspower PETG 16mm OD Tube
EK-UNI Pump Bracke
XSPC LCD Temperature Display
Aquacomputer G1/4" Inline Temperature Sensor, Female to Male
Monsoon Hardline All Pro Deluxe Bender Kit 16mm

Pre-ordered:
EVGA 2080ti FTW3

Planned:
Asus Maximus XI (Extreme, Code, Hero?) EVGA x299 Dark

Doing some more test fitting while I wait on parts. I still need to pull the rads back out and flush them.

I think this is going to be the pump location....

WOW so Cool. Drool..Drool...Drip ....
I am just getting into water cooling...But this seems way out of my league and price range for that matter.
What kind of budget are you looking at..if you do not mined me asking.

Keep posting those PIC's

Thanks! Budget for the loop originally was around $1k...but I'm pretty sure that is blown and I have not even bought water blocks yet.

Things have gotten a little out of control.

I went ahead and ordered a EK Velocity RGB Nickle/Plexi water block. They are on back order, but should be here next week.

Other than that I am kind of at a standstill. The GPU is ordered, but the blocks are not available for them yet. The CPU/MOBO are not available to order. Rumor has it via Silicon Lottery that CPU's will be available to the public the week of 10/22 and I would assume motherboards at the same time. Until then...Hrmmmm.

I got shipping notifications for the CPU block and motherboard tonight. EK Velocity block will be here Wednesday and the MOBO Thursday. Looks like the 2080ti FTW3 and 9900k are still a week or more out.

If I get the CPU and GPU earlyish and get stuck waiting for the GPU waterblock I may run soft lines to the CPU block and run the FTW3 on air to get the system running. Any reason not to temporarily mix soft and hard?

Looks great. I've never built a custom loop but I'm sure I could. I never have my systems long enough so the thought of spending the extra time and money on a system I might only have 2 or 3 months seems pointless. Granted, a part of me wishes I would just do it already.

I just dropped $3,000 in parts on a new build and absolutely love it.

Thanks man. it is just something I have always wanted to do. I am hoping I can use the guts (rads, pump, fittings, etc) on future setups. I built my 7820x rig last year, but I almoast only game, and it was not ideal.

However, I am interested to see what I can get out of the 9900k in cinebench compared to the best my 7820x did...

Mobo already got delivered. Block hardware has been installed. No CPU but with the block on there fit loosely I should be able to start bending tube.

We in there boys. Looks like everything should clear. The rear input/out of the top radiator may get a little tricky. Another "S" dual radial 90 may be needed...

i would go with a 45 rotary on both inlet and out and swap your fans to the other side. looking sharp!

I am attempting to run push pull on the top radiator. If I can not make it work I could run just the top fans, but I would prefer not.

you could always slide the rad towards the front. it may require drilling new mounting holes.

I have a little bit of room to move forward, but then I will run into clearance issues with the pump and front rad in/out. I am out of town for the weekend, but will try to play with time some when I get back.

I had time to attempt one run tonight...and I will be doing it again tomorrow...lol. It would be functional, but I need a a couple mm longer lower straight and couple mm shorter upper straight. I am using a 45* fitting at the radiator inlet to get it to clear between the lower 280mm radiator fans and the pump reservoir.

i would pull the extension off of the front rad, right side and use the 45 by itself. that should shorten it enough to allow you to move the top rad back juuuuust enough. it should still allow you to pass by your reservoir and get to the cpu. the shitty part is youll have to bend a new tube to replace the one you have already finished. another drawback is it will look like your top fan is right up against your res...hmmmm. is there anyway to lower your pump? say a half inch or so? if so betwen removing the extender and lowering the res you should be gtg!

Tube will not clear res without the extension. I can not lower the pump without making a custom bracket or butchering top of the PSU shroud. I will be bending another tube. No big deal. I have plenty of time waiting for my CPU/GPU and tube is cheap.

i hear ya but im vested now man! i have to help you find a way to get that rad moved forward!!! hahaha if you rotate your 45 to the right (looking at it from the last pics view) will that allow it to clear?

I am pretty certain I can get the top rad connections to clear with som 45s. They'll be delivered tomorrow...we'll se.

I finished the other CPU run. Now I wait on parts. CPU/GPU should be here next week.

Good progress today. Time for a drink.

My OCD could not allow the rear case fan not to match the other 7. I also moved over the Trident Z RGB 3600c16, one of the SSDs, and the sleeved cables from the x299 rig...

That looks great so far. Using fittings to do the turns is smart.

My rig is the polar opposite... makes me slightly jealous.

Thanks man! The way I am visualizing it, I think there will be two more bends of 90* and the rest fittings. The Bitspower fittings are amazing quality and the variety is insane, but my god are they expensive. Especially when I have to keep ordering more as I run into little things I want them for. Performance-PC's shipping department is probably sick of seeing my address.

looking good man! your not wcing your gpu?
I definitely will be. I just don't have it yet...lol. I ordered a 2080ti FTW3 and am hoping to get it next week, but then I will be waiting on a block to available. I'm planning on closing the loop with soft and running the GPU on air just until I can get a block for the new card.

I have my delided 7820x, and was making the switch to the pre-ordered a 99000k mostly because I am not a fan of my x299 motherboard. I figured if I was going to change my motherboard, I would give the 9900k a try. Now I am thinking about just buying a different x299 board and holding onto my 7820x for a minute and then snag one of the x299 chips coming out. If I bought a different board it would probably be a Asus Rampage VI Extreme or an EVGA x299 Dark.

I've decided to change this build to x299. I am ordering either a Asus Rampage VI Apex or a EVGA x299 Dark. These are the factors that pushed me there.

1) I already have a delidded 7820x
2) the new Skylake x-chips look fun
3) I game at 3440x1440, I am never really CPU limited
4) 9900k is not quite what I hoped for
5) x299 will age better than z390

Plus, I feel like this amount of work and money into the loop deserves HEDT.
