Here Is the Death Stranding Trailer from the Tokyo Game Show

Looks very creative, I like that, but wtf is that game about can not tell from that trailer?
Edit: never mind that looks promising.

This is one of the very few games I'm looking forward to. Without knowing much about the game, I'm guessing that Guillermo del Toro designed a lot of the creatures in this game. They are very much his style. I love his movies.

I have no idea what's going on in the game, but for whatever reason I love it.

That trailer tells me NOTHING.

But Imma stick around for the del Toro implications....

They should call this KOJIMA UNLEASHED. The man knows how to create a game with amazing gameplay but his stories and art direction is just utterly baffling, and now that nobody is reigning him in shit is going to get really really weird and awful. MGSV was both one of the best and one of the worst games I've ever played. The juxtaposition of a serious conflict in Afghanistan/Africa vs unicorns and giant helicopter-eating whales was too much.

Eh. I was hoping it was some strange Japanese game show. They really know how to make strange, funny, and sexy game shows.

can be a nice cgi-movie...well, yeah Kojima can just direct and produce one, and i certainly would watch it. Cheaper than making a game with hours upon hours of cutscenes.

IDK... amazing pre-rendered scene, but at first thought... it reminds me of many other games.. with an existing threat you cannot defeat so it keeps you on a certain path. Like the radiation in Metro, or the freezing climate in lost planet it allows the game to move you along. cinematically it looks amazing but so did watch dogs.

I don't see Kojima making a game with set paths like Metro.

Its pure shit for a trailer, honestly, they show nothing, let alone what the fuck is this shit about, I get wanting to not show too much in order to whip interest and a frenzy, but it is Action?Horror?Point and Click adventure?WHO KNOWS????? Honestly without any kind of context it looks stupid, the only interesting thing is the graphics porn that they are showing off.

It's Kojima, his games are pretty much just heaping one weird thing ontop of another forever.

Waiting for that main character dude to jump in a Chrysler Pacifica and have that shoulder AI flashlight thing pass out some goldfish crackers to his backpack baby thing.

Yep pretty typical for a Kojima game. My guess is that the gameplay will be very similar to an MGS game.

PS4 exclusive? :(
Yeah, it uses Guerrilla Games' engine that they last used in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Like all the past trailers, this one really tells us nothing about the game. The E3 2018 trailer was the one that showed the most though.

Not that it helps. If anything, all these trailers do is just leave one more confused. Eh, I don't really pay attention to games until they are out in the wild. Maybe when this game finally comes out, people will know what the fuck is up with it. Or maybe not, cuz this is Kojima after all. Years after this game has come out people will still probably be talking about all the WTF the game no doubt contains. Well at least with the trailers we can get an idea of what kind of visuals the engine will be pumping out. Guerrilla has said their engine is working fine on PC, they've got internal PC ports of games like HZD running, but they can't release 'em cuz Sony owns the IP and tech. Too bad.

That's the point. Every once in a while a videogame transcends killstreaks and fetch quests and becomes art.
