Shipping Notifications

eVGA got back to my inquiry for a better estimate than "3-4 weeks" and basically said "That's all the info we can provide you" lol

Amazon just delayed my PNY 2080 ti officially. No time frame for when it will ship.

I may just wait for an AIO version now.

They haven't even started charging cards on Ti orders yet. Hopefully they get some in over the weekend and can start shipping beginning of the week.

Unless of course PayPal was used. :-(

I see the popular streamers are receiving their free cards though..

Dang, just got an email from Amazon saying my 2080ti has been delayed until 10/21/18......already cancelled my Nvidia order. Both were ordered as soon as they were able to within like 5 minutes....oh well probably a good thing after all and just hang onto my OC'd 1080FE for now.....

10/21?

Ok, that's just jumping the shark insane for someone who ordered the instant they went up. That means Amazon didn't get bupkis for stock they were promised. And Newegg is sending out similar notices.

So Nvidia didn't REALLY launch the 2080Ti at the same time as the 2080 (as they normally wouldn't)...

It's odd Nvidia would try and fail to rush availability like this when AMD isn't even releasing a competing product. Why risk the backlash?

I'd be kinda annoyed if I paid the premium for the ti and then had to wait another month to get my card compared to the 2080 buyers.

Ok there it is. I now have a request for delay approval from Amazon for October 21 for my non-Ti 2080. The Evga Gaming XC.

I had an expected delivery date of TODAY, shipped overnight, until just now during the expected deliver day. Just what the hell is going on? Amazon should have known yesterday they didn't have the cards to overnight.

It really is starting to feel like Nvidia is trying to cancel the launch.

Typhoon. Too many iPhones clogging up the ocean. Shitty yields. Too much Pascal inventory. Who knows.

Of course, according to newegg they have cards in stock right this second.

I love pre-orders. What a joke. (not that I expected better)

EDIT -
Cancelled the Amazon order. What else can I do with a "sometime in the next month" as a time frame.

Just ordered a Gigabyte Windforce 2080 card from Newegg instead, which is in stock, to be delivered Monday and is $10 cheaper. Ok then.

MORE EDIT -
About an hour and a half later and Newegg says it's SHIPPED. Well done Newegg. You accomplished in 1.5 hours what Amazon couldn't do with days of notice, a prime account and extra money for overnight.

I like Amazon, I use them every day but this was just silly! They get one free slap with a wet trout for this one.

On eBay ... $2200, $2350, $2500, $1800, $2000, $2600, $2500, $1700, $2500 ... lol

2080 still available at nvidia, yet there are $1000 cards on eBay, heh

Hoping those prices are too expensive for people to buy is what I'm hoping for so the scalping will come to a end.

Yet people will still buy from eBay at double the cost. Never understood it. It’s like they’re buying for sport, are international or are fraudulently bidding and the seller never makes the sale (happens a LOT), or the seller is pumping their own sale (happens a LOT). eBay sucks. Done getting scammed/ripped off as a seller for computer parts there - especially CPUs and GPUs.

"Buying for sport" LOL made me laugh this morning. Nicely done.

So then no Ti’s have shipped?
Seems like it's just a holdup on NVIDIA's end because I've seen other people getting their EVGA and ASUS cards. Maybe an issue with their fulfillment agency?

So much for this week. My 8/20 @ ~noon preorder just got updated to 10/5 ship date.

I want to try it in a SFF case or I'd opt for EVGA.

Ordered during the presentation, got an updated ship date of 10/20 and promptly canceled my order. Was on the fence anyway. Get fucked, Nvidia.

No good vibes from Nvidia that for sure its like a blind date that never shows up a month later.

I had an original ship date of 9/25 and ordered during the presentation, and still haven't heard anything. If I'm not going to see the card til late October I'll probably just cancel and live with the 1080ti until prices hit MSRP. I was fine with paying a 200 early adopters tax, but if I'm paying the tax and not seeing the card until after everyone else what's the point.

Wasn't it basically 9/20->9/27->10/5 at this point? (for early orders)

Meanwhile people are using their Asus and EVGA cards.

This, I ordered right after the presentation with a 9/25 date, but the whole point of ordering the FE direct from nv / digital river is to be early by 2-4 weeks. If they are behind EVGA then there's no point. It's stuck in order processing for 5 weeks. I dare not cancel as I've only got a 1080 FE card to push this 4K 144Hz gsync screen. Patience I guess.

Who knows how they're allocating ship dates. Mine was 9/20 originally, delayed to 10/20. You'd be lucky to get one next month probably. Where's the value in these FE cards, again? Selling point for me was nothing more than the ability to actually get one at launch.

But yeah. I'm going to stick with my 1080 Ti's until AMD has some 7nm goodness to share.

Is this official? Delaying from 9/27 to sometime in Oct? Last week the 1 week delay was all over the news, but I haven't heard a peep this time, if true. I placed my order through Newegg at 12:19 during the press conference, and got the note last week saying shipments would be delayed until 9/27. Haven't seen anything further.

The stuff coming out today is from Nivida directly (or their e-shop partner perhaps) so I'd guess it also affects Newegg cards of the same variety (FE), but who knows..

Interestingly I just got a second email from Newegg telling me 9/27 for my Zotac Amp 2080Ti, and the pre-order page still shows that date (Order placed 12:28pm EST 8/20).

Crossing my fingers for a delivery this Sat!

I have not gotten the e-mail yet. If I have to wait I may as well wait for the EVGA hybrid version, so I'm just canceling this one.

No email for me, yet either...really on the fence about canceling. I love my MSI GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z - now that the 2080 Ti FE is delayed I feel like just waiting for another Lightning perhaps. No rumors on that, though.

I got f’d hard by ordering from nVidia for my 1080 so these reports do not surprise me.

I mean if you've been around a while and are in the USA, then you've probably been f'd hard by Nvidia, Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, etc..at some point in time.

Hmmm.

I’ve been f’d by preordering*.

How’s that? lol. Last time I preordered there were cards in stock and mine was stuck in nvidia.com hell.

I preordered this time from Best Buy only because I had a 10% off coupon. $120 saved is worth possible delay. I just checked it’s still waiting to be shipped.

I just got the "will now ship by 10/5/18 with expedited shipping" email. It's almost as if they slowly dispatched the delay emails over a 24 hour period so that everyone didn't raise a fit at once.

Well at least you got some communication, I ordered my two 2080 Ti right at launch during the presentation and haven't heard a peep.
