I have two choices I am considering:

1.) An EVGA 2080ti FTW. I figure it’ll have a higher powerlimit than other cards and be quieter due to it’s absolutely enormous, stiff heatsink. Should be good performance and have a good warranty.

2.) The cheapest 2080ti reference I can find (999 garbage blower?), a waterblock, pump and hard mod the power limits away. Added bonus it can help heat my pool in the summer. Negative is I’ll void any warranties. Risk in the hardmod.

Both will cost similar. What would you guys do?

Do the FTW3 Ultra n be done. But be prepared to wait. Mine still says 3-4 weeks.

I'd say cheapest, these are probably going to have a wide range of price options next year, much like the 1080 had during its lifetime.

My concern was more with the low powerlimit. Sucks about voltage... and hard voltage mods are usually very tedious. But 250W (the normal it seems) is pretty low for a 754mm^2 chip.

I didn’t look into it but Kingpin are usually so far through the cycle you’re half way to the next gen.

I am slightly leaning towards the EVGA FTW if I can find out if it’s PL is increased enough to warrant the wait. Getting older it’s sometimes nice for things to just work lol.

I just checked my email and EVGA said they don’t have power limit info yet. They are usually pretty tight lipped.
