Hi all

I'm debating on building a new PC now, Ryzen 2600, thinking Tomahawk 450 motherboard, toss in 16GB of ram and wait for the RTX2060 to be released or grab an RTX 2070.

Is there any real reason to wait a little longer for any hardware releases that may give me a better bang for the buck?

I'm Canadian, so everything here is more expensive, I need to be frugal ;)

black Friday is coming so wait for that or say fuck it and build now. up here is always way more expensive for parts.

2060 will likely not be RTX enabled. Grab a 1080 TI for cheap while you can and run with that. You'll have likely more performance than a 2060 with no real downside. RTX performance will likely not be good enough on the base RTX card since it's first generation

You should always wait... until you have enough money to buy what you really want, then buy it.

I have the money, but if I can get a better deal, or something new is coming up that is or might be a game changer, I'd hold back for a bit.

well the something new will only really be the gpu. but if you dont go to the new highest end you wont see any benefit over current gen. so if you wont get upset seeing black Friday deals you could get it now. memory express has some good deals and will meet/beat online competitors even for online order I think.

Perhaps you can save a bit and actually get a Ryzen 7 8 core?

if you do order anything from memex remember they have a price beat guarantee. so you can save a bit more if you do some googlin'.

I'm in the F**k it crowd, just ordered a bunch of parts to build my first PC.
This. Black Friday been garbage for over a decade for computer parts. Hell in anything worth a fuck really. Last time I got angled deal was Gefore 4600 Ti from Best buy.
