Get Laptop to be able to use remote connect application when the screen is closed

I tried everything and it seems to not work now :(

The laptop screen goes off when I close the lid even when I set it not to do that.

Any solutions ?

This is Windows 10.

I don't want to keep the laptop open.
 
Change your power settings so the PC doesn't shut down/ sleep when you close the lid. Then verify windows is set to the right power plan?

I realized you mentioned you messed with the settings but it didn't help.

Verify you're running the profile you modified. You can either go into petpo options or click on the battery icon and verify you're running high performance. I dislike windows 10s power profiles because you can sort of manage them from 2 locations but it also depends on the manufacturer or something.
 
in windows you have to set the lid switch to "do nothing" and then shutdown on battery power and ac power to never
