Scythe Kotetsu Mark 2 vs. Arctic Freezer 33 Plus for 2600 OC

Between these two HSF which would you recommend to OC a Ryzen 2600? I picked these 2 because of their price and I won't be interested in anything more expensive than these 2. I also had the Cryorig H7 and DeepCool Gammaxx 400 in mind, but I found a temperature chart where the Scythe outperformed the H7, and if I'm correct the H7 outperforms the Gammaxx 400. I was hoping you guys would have more info than me because based on 2 reviews I read I wish they tested the OC results on both given the Arctic Freezer 33 non plus couldn't stabilize the OC of a Ryzen 1700X, yet the Arctic Freezer 33 Plus outperformed the Scythe both idle and load on a stock clocked Ryzen 1600.

The scythe is the best unit there, and you can always just put better fans on it if you aren't satisfied. That's where that Freezer 33+ gets its advantage, it has two fans. It isn't a better heatsink though.

Oh sweet thanks. I did some searching and found out the mark 2 of the kotetsu isn't really sold in USA which makes me cry so I guess I'll just get whichever one of the other 3 goes on sale first lol

Are you buying in the US? I figured EU since you were referencing german sites. Whats your budget?

Haha my bad they were just the only sites I could find temperature charts for the Scythe. $35 with tax & shipping
 
The original Kotetsu was an impressive performer, both in temps and noise level. It keeps my 4790k stock quite happy (under 60c load), despite it being a demanding chip.

If the latest is any better, it's a steal (for ten dollars less than I paid for the original). Scythe really knows what they're doing on the semi-silent front, and they're usually half the price of Noctua.

Honestly I'd cough up the $2 and get a 212+ EVO for $37 no tax free shipping on newegg.
 
212 and 212 EVO were great value cooler in their day, but those days are long gone. There are many cooler now as good or better for same and less money .. Scythe Kotetsu is definitely a better cooler.
 
Totally agree with LigTasm. The Scythe is much better than the Arctic because of the heatsink. The two fans will not cover the difference between the heatsink.
