I am just ultra-sensitive to this, or has anyone else notice the excessive bumping of one's FS thread in order to carry on conversations that are better done through PM?

(5) No excessive BUMPING of your thread. Excessive bumping using Bump, TTT, ^^^, or other multiple wording to place your thread at the top is limited to 6 hours apart. Repeated bumping by another member within the 6 hour minimum will not be tolerated. Repeated long term bumping of a thread will not be allowed. Any abuse of the bumping rules is to be determined at the discretion of the moderators and administrators over and beyond the stated rules on a case by case basis.

There's more. There's some that figured out that if they delete there last post with in the 6 hour window they can post again to bump there thread up to top before the 6 hour time frame is up. Over and over.

Bumping a thread is stupid. If you have good stuff to sell at a good price, it will sell on it's own and not need bumping. I'm also growing tired of "free bump for good deal" or "free bump for giving away a CPU essentially". It seems there are a few users who think the classifieds is the place to have a conversation. The freebies thread is a prime example. I had to remove my subscription to it and stopped posting crap in there because it was one person talking to everyone and basically scraping up every worthwhile freebie in there.

Everyones post should have equal time on the front page of the FS section, so if anyone is abusing their privileged, use the report post button and someone will take care of it.

Evil genius! ...but evil nonetheless.

Yes report offenders. I/we don't want to have deletion privileges removed because of one or two bad people. Use the report tool and let the staff hammer where the nails exist.

I love having the ability to delete stuff on my FS threads because I make A LOT of pricing mistakes and sometimes I want to just delete something because it can provide misunderstanding or mis-communication to a potential buyer. Its a great tool to have if used properly.
