Star Wars Resistance Trailer Revealed

I know many of you [H] denizens love your animated Star Wars and I'm happy that the Star Wars blog has released a trailer for their new animated series, Resistance. The new series is anime-inspired which will make the anime fans happy as well. It debuts on the Disney Channel on Sunday, October 7th. If it's as good as The Clone Wars then we are in for a treat. The series, set prior to the events in The Force Awakens, also welcomes Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie to the voice cast, reprising their roles as Poe and Captain Phasma, respectively.
 
Ugh, looks too much like their TRON: Uprising series, which was awesome but worked for TRON. It'd be nice if Disney used a more natural looking animation style.
 
what is this? anime studio or toon boon? ive seen this exact style on a tutorial somewhere. You know when a game uses the built in unreal assets to save time and things look vaguely familiar??? this looks like other things ive seen but cant put my finger on it..
 
/sigh looks like a kid show. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think so...

At least there's the last season of Clone Wars!

No, this is 3D cel shading. You're right, it has a very distinct and recognizable (and controversial) look.
 
Well, it is the Disney Channel so I am cool with that. However, I do not have pay for TV service so I will not be seeing it but, Voltron has been pretty good, right from season 1 because it was with people who just seemed like normal folks.

That CGI with the cell animation filter looks like SHIT!!! The writing better be good...but given the writing on the movies lately, I am not holding my breath.

I thought it was decent. Probably won't watch, but I expect all the 5-15 year kids to watch.
 
oh ffs, enough of the star wars saga series/movies already... make me KOTOR 3 or something similar and I'll be interested.
 
Looks horrible. Also, how very white .... cartoon has no alien vibe, zero culture present ...
