Pizza Hut Korea is jumping on the robot bandwagon by putting into service a little robot called Dilly Plate that can autonomously bring up 22 kilograms of food to your table. The Koreans aren't the first to use robot in their restaurants, but this does show that robots are going to continue to make inroads into the industry. I suspect casual dining will go to the robots before you know it. I wonder what the overall operating cost is for little guys like this compared to human waiters?

The robot, dubbed Dilly Plate, was unveiled at one of its stores in western Seoul on Monday for a two-week test run, marking the first case of adopting such technology in the country's dining industry, the company said.

This is your future all you people demanding $15 an hour! Managers going to be required to have a engineering degrees also to fix shit when it breaks!

The fact that you still believe this tripe is sad. I've got bad news for you, it's far more than just fast food jobs on the chopping block. A significant percentage of salaried office jobs are going to be wiped out in the next decade.

edit: just noticed some auto correct mistakes.

They'll be destroyed when Little Caesars drops their 'pizza ball'.

Yep. Most of our jobs are ripe for automation.

I for one welcome our new Pizza Serving Robot Overlords. No pineapple, please.

I prefer my pizza made by the Italian guy across the street.

Also I see a pineapple in the background, which has no place on a pizza :)
