Is this it? Is this what we've all been waiting for? Was that e-mail circulated by a Youtube commentator real?

The world’s biggest gaming expo, Gamescom 2018, runs August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany. And GeForce will loom large there -- at our Gamescom booth, Hall 10.1, Booth E-072; at our partners’ booths, powering the latest PC games; and at our own off-site GeForce Gaming Celebration that starts the day before.

The event will be loaded with new, exclusive, hands-on demos of the hottest upcoming games, stage presentations from the world’s biggest game developers, and some spectacular surprises.

To join in, simply head here, register, and turn up for the start of the festivities on Monday, Aug. 20. Doors open at 5.30pm CET and the fun starts at 6pm. There’s limited space, so make sure you arrive early. Can’t make it in person? Don’t worry, it will be livestreamed.

If you somehow choose to miss Monday’s epic event, the festivities continue on Tuesday at 10am, and run clear through to 5pm. Again, space is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure you and your clan members turn up early to go hands-on with the spectacular PC-powered demos of the most-anticipated, yet-to-be-released games.

The celebration starts Monday, August 20 at 17:00 CET (UTC +1) and goes through 00:00. That is 12:00 - 19:00 EDT.

What? The MSRP of the 1060 is already 300.

MSRP is $200 for 3GB and $250 for 6GB.

Nvidia is charging $300 for a Founders edition right now.

There are no new 1060 6GB cards available to buy under $300 on Newegg at the moment.

I’d say you should be worried they raise the price to $450, based on what we are hearing about 1180 pricing.

"...on what we are hearing about 1180 pricing."

You mean all the FUD based on nothing?

Fact check: Newegg has THREE 1060 6gb cards for <$300, today August 1st 2018

Amazon has half a dozen and BH Photo also has three...

LOL I guess $299 counts as under $300 but ought to be $230 max for a dual fan 6GB model

My comment was on MSRP, not on whether they're available to buy or not. Only the Founders it $300. Regular 3GB is $200, $250 for 6GB. Inflation is irrelevant when we're talking about MSRP.

Founders edition is like a hot hair dryer I'm not sure why anyone would want one except for bad case deisign.

Supposedly more leak than rumor. If true then the lower end 2060 looks very disappointing, was hoping it would be equal to a 1080.

RTX Titan, RTX 2080, RTX 2070, GTX 2060, GTX 2050

If this is true then I'll be holding onto my 1080 Ti until the RTX 2080 Ti (or whatever the hell it will be called) is released.

Yea if the numbers are true then this intro will be pretty disappointing for those looking for a high end upgrade to drive high end displays (UWD, 4K). The only seismic improvement is the Titan RTX @ $3K. That performance needs to filter down to the RTX 2080 price point. 1080Ti owners certainly are not going to be interested in an upgrade and frankly why would I spend the extra $ on a 2080 when its more expensive than a 1080Ti but only 8-10% faster?

Now granted this might be a pricing ploy to clear the channels of pascal stock, but still, will prove to be disappointing.

Looks like with every new generation and for only 1080p, I'll be going down the ladder in terms of what I buy...

GTX 780
GTX 970
GTX 2060?

I guess it's a win for my wallet, but I miss going [H].
