XPS 9570 UHD vs FHD screen

Hi guys,

I need to buy a new notebook and I am much leaning towards new XPS.

The only problem I have is the screen. The version that will be available where I live (no possibility to create a custom build from DELL.com) has only 4K touch screen with antireflective glass @ 400cd/m2. I am used to antiglare matt displays.
Now, anyone had experience with those 4K 15,6" screens from DELL?
Do they work OK at that high brightness level? My eyes do not like reflections. I usually work with windows covered.
 
I had an XPS 9560 with the 4K screen and loved it. I ended up selling it because I wanted a smaller laptop. I still got the 4K screen on my XPS 9370, though. I like the bright reflective screen.
 
I own the Dell XPS 15 9570 with the 4K display. It's solid. No issues so far. Only get the 1080p matte display if you really need long battery life above all else.
 
thanks for the replies. can you tell me what is the real life battery runtime difference? I need to do some tricks to get the FHD version (which I think I prefer) - buy it in US and get international warranty and notify DELLabout my whereabouts so the warranty will work in Europe.It is gonna be cheaper than 4K version and I will have 3 years warranty (the 4K model that will be available here will come with 2 years)
 
one more question about this HW if i may - is anyone aware what SSD is mounted in this machine? I am going to get 512GB version and I wonder if BIOS password combined with hardware encryption is possible ? Currently I have T450s with Samsung 850 PRO 512GB and it encrypts on the fly using BIOS password (and biometric pass as well).

Your storage options are based on the size of the battery you want. If you choose the 97 Wh battery you only get 1 M.2 slot. Dell installs a PCIe SSD drive. If you choose the smaller 57 Wh battery you get the M.2 slot and space for a SATA 2.5 drive. NVMe hardware encryption is not supported. Use Bit Locker encryption.
