Today is Amazon's annual PRIME DAY. Use your Amazon Prime account to grab special deals. It starts officially at 2pm CDT, but Amazon has listed "early access deals" at the link. PRIME DAY has not always been a great success in terms of what us consumers have seen, so if you find a great deal, please share that deal with us in the Hard Forum.

Prime Day is usually a bust to me really, once and a while you will come across a gem but 80% of the deals i see are garbage. They just seem to be purging inventory. I know to each his own on this stuff but really its a joke because they tend to jack up prices on some items leading up to prime day.....its like black friday....stores slowly push prices up before black friday and then "door busters" are maybe a few buck less than normal sales throughout the year. The real gems are gone within minutes.

I keep looking over the "deals" and I can't find one thing I consider to be worth the purchase. Oddly enough, one wonders why Amazon doesn't reduce the price of the Prime membership itself on this one day - that would a) generate a shitload of new Prime members and pure profit in the bank as they flood to sign up and b) then those same people being new Prime members would then turn around and spend even more money buying shit on Prime Day.

That makes some level of sense, right? :D

The wife has wanted a bigger Fire tablet, I guess now's the time. $100 for the HD10 isn't great, but not bad either really for what you get.

I am looking for a 65" Sony 900F, though I am sure it won't be on sale till November at the earliest at a price I am willing to pay for it. ;)

i impulse bought a fire HD 8 -- easy enough to root, put stock android OS on there.... for $49 bucks, it will make a great Kodi companion to keep on the coffee table and easily (and sexily) browse my media array

I was hoping for a better deal on a 2tb ssd, guess what I found the micron 1100 2tb new on EBAY for 249.00 usd. and with a square trade warranty I bought two for 537. Suck it Amazon.....

I have prime for free this week. Then I'll cancel. Already ordered some stuff

Good time to buy Amazon products. Kindles, fire stuff...whatever. Probably some decent tv deals, considering it's shipped. Otherwise, I expect it to be kinda meh.

Yet again, Prime day has nothing I want to buy. I buy so infrequently from Amazon and I never need the fast shipping so I just skip Prime.

Is Amazon Prime day like the PURGE? Do I need to board up my windows and get a gun?

Last year it was Amazon Disappointment Day, hopefully this year is better

I kind of F**ed myself last Amazon kept extending me for two free montth

high end product needs to go on sale, not the clearance items and or cheap knock-off product. People like me, only want the best, but its always so expensive that it never goes on sale, unless you wait like 10 years and by then new and better products exists.

High end products dont go on sale because they don't need to. This might clear up the confusion for you:

All the stuff I’m watching went up 10% last night just so they can be marked down 10% today :(

Seems to be borked now.
Keeps throwing me back to the "shop all deals" link no matter what I do.
Multiple browsers, cleared cache, yada, yada.

Well got to check the electronics nothing much there and then tried toys and games can't even get to the category so much for prime crap day. worthless as I thought.....

You know their servers are way overloaded toilets can only handle so much crap........

Their APP works fine I've found out, well, at least compared to the browser based.

One would think Amazon and AWS would be prepared for Prime Day. Maybe MS has all of their employees shopping right not as a creative marketing ploy for Azure.

Manage to get a drawing tablet for 30 percent off and a corel paint digital suite for 50 percent off so not a total loss....

Ticwatch E is on sale for $100. I've been looking at it for a bit and decided now was the time to buy.

Pages, when they work are generally showing only 4 of 16 or 4 of 24. This is even better than when Comcast cut its own cable feed right when the super bowl was starting.

If anyone uses a dremel the keyless chuck is on sale for $10, not really an amazing price but it was the only thing I saw from what I got to load.

This does take some power away from the dremel so I don’t recommend them for the smaller dremels.
