Ugh

Good catch. Dvi will still support 2k. But looks like this one is designed for people who mine

I have four monitors on my desktop... and I could probably make use of a fifth.

One 2k output? This card shouldn't even be listed with regular GPUs...

This GPU is pretty clearly made for mining. As has been pointed out there is only the single video output, and it is DVI of all things. Then check out the clock speed. The GPU comes running at 1215MHz. That is really slow for an RX 580, It is 51Hz slower than reference RX 480s. So, out of the box this card comes somewhat tuned for mining in an efficient manner.

It looks like this is a mining sku that hit the market too late, or that some Chinese plant was making for miners all along and the demand has dried up.

I don't think this card is worth $200. I would not even pay $150 for one. My view may be a little skewed, though, because I just picked up a PowerColor Red Devil RX 580 8GB for $140 yesterday (craigslist sepcial).

They need to upgrade monitor first IMHO.

Cards will continue to get cheaper... fix the other bottleneck.

I wouldn't call a monitor a bottleneck, if you have a Korean monitor this is a non issue, and there's not much reason to upgrade from one, unless you realllly have to have adaptive sync... I also don't see the point of buying an expensive monitor if you don't have the card to run it, but to each their own.

Even if someone is staying with a single 1080p display, there is a very solid justification to upgrade it - freesync.
