Monster Hunter World PC Pre-Buy - $49.19

Great game. I put a few hundred hours into the PS4 version, and I still want to buy it again for PC. The only reason I'm probably holding out is because the new WoW expansion is out a week later.

Open world with huge environments. Just turn the graphics down a tad and those cards will probably get 60 fps.

Yes but it only has console level graphics to begin with with no improvements according to Capcom. The base PS4 is already running the game at 1080p 30 fps with a gpu that is not even as fast as the 1050 ti nevermind the much faster 1060.

yeah all the trailers have looked pretty weak in the graphics department...hopefully the gameplay makes up for it (and they release an HD Texture Pack in the future)...either way too risky for a blind pre-order...I need to wait and see how good the port is along with performance and things like kb/m support etc...something tells me this is going to need a lot of patch work in the first few months
 
My biggest concern is if I can get enough friends to get the PC version, I feel like everyone already got their fill on the console.

If it has a lobby system, then I think there will be plenty of PC players. If it is like the Destiny 2 raid system then we are all doomed I tell you. DOOMED!

The way it works on console (and I imagine PC as well) is that you can join player-created sessions with up to 16 players, or you can search for SOS flares and join hunts that way. Never really have a problem finding players if you're okay with randoms.

You can also start your own private session and password protect, etc. if you want to just play with friends.

Exactly. Im not paying over $20 for a late release especially one with very little current gen wow factor
 
One thing I'll say is that the pre-order bonus items are pretty decent for early game, but you will fairly quickly outgrow them.

The Deluxe version only has cosmetic stuff, so if you don't care about that, there's no real reason to go Deluxe. Also, at least on the PS4, they have a "Deluxe Upgrade" pack that you can buy to get all of the items anyway.

I just want to RP a Fashion Hunter myself. So I'll probably preorder this time just for the extra skins. I've been watching the game on Twitch for quite a few hours and I really want to try this release. Plus even if there are some bugs at launch Capcom has a generally good record of identifying, notifying and fixing them on the PC at least.

Going to let frankmansal carry me to Gold status or whatever the ranking system is. :)
 
No mods and no crossplatform from what I've read. 2018 and we can't do same servers for different platforms? Come on.

The base PS4 barely runs at 30-fps. More than a couple creatures or effects on screen at once and the framerate tanks. The Pro doesn't fare much better either.

PS4 Pro is running at 40-50 FPS most of the time on Framerate Priority mode.
