AMD Ryzen 7 2700X - $289 @ Ebay

Alright now I am getting sightly annoyed at these prices having purchased a 2700 a month ago. Only slightly however I did not need a 2700X over my 2700 for the task but the Wraith Prism maybe.. Although the 2700 does not seem to get that hot at stock (even 24/7 compiling on all 16 threads).

This is making it real hard to keep thinking I am just fine and happy with my 1800x.

Too bad the seller didn't have it at this price last week for the 20% off coupon (It was at $350 from that seller)...

Just bought 3 of these T_T, 1 a few minutes ago before seeing this. Oh well not like work would let me use eBay.

Fairly sure these are gray market CPUs being pushed into the USA. That price will not last and has nothing to do with AMD's NA partners.

FYI sales tax for California. Just paid $280 shipped a few days ago which is a good bit cheaper than this for me.

There was a guy selling them for $300 + $8 shipping locally on ebay. Low feedback but he sold 12 or so and received positive feedback for them. If you're in CA, worth checking for other ebay deals.

Tech deals go fast on ebay. Most experienced sellers raise their price when a promo comes along. You can certainly get lucky though. Still often ends up being a better deal than Amazon/newegg in any case.

And if you get ebay bucks it is a nice bonus. I think I have about $50 to spend next month. Not sure what I will get with it.

Look at their feedback.

Marginal, I'd agree. But... in my experience (20+ years as an eBay seller) at least 1.5% of customers are idiots or trouble, often wanting something for nothing. Buying an item and then complaining, wanting a refund... and to keep the item :/
Selling used (refurb) tech I would suppose would double those sorts of odds.
Conversely, it looks like they sell on large volumes... makes it easier to screw up transactions and resolve problems slowly too.
/shrugs

$299 at Microcenter plus you get the $30 motherboard bundle discount. OTOH, sales tax... so flip a coin. If you already have AM4 mobo and just want the chip, $289 shipped seems like a good deal to me.

And don't be afraid to upgrade your 1700's and 1800's, there are people right here on Hardforums that will gladly buy your "old" chips if the price is right. I know...because I bought a 1700 here from an upgrader!

Not everyone is near a MC, plus maybe no tax? MC is 6% so you're looking at an extra $18 + motherboard.

don't need it, 60 bux after tax cheaper than egg.... still tempted.

My county sales tax is 8% and I have my 1700x sold locally for $180 as I type this so I'm pretty tempted, between price difference, tax and cost of trip about a $41 savings vs Microcenter. So is $41 savings worth same day pickup vs waiting until Jun 21-28th.... hmm?

Since I've been waiting months and months to put parts together (rtying to save every penny I can), I went ahead and ordered this a couple days ago. I'll report back when it arrives about how long it takes and if it's as described. Now just to find affordable memory (ha!), and snag a MOBO, HDD, and case. Then finally ready to put it together.

That's where I just bought mine, along with the X470 Tachi MB.
The bundle discount paid for the sales tax and I just didn't want the hassle of potentially RMA'ing anything defective :/
/it all worked perfect out of the box
//love the 2700X
///still need to tweak my memory

I bit on this last week when first posted (Thanks Kyle). Still no shipping notification but was left positive feedback - so yay I guess.

Yup to second Kyle's reply, I got a Ryzen 3 1200 from them last year. NIB and obviously still working just fine in my nephew's build.

That said, seeing feedback about not shipping anything at all is concerning:
seller didnt ship and have no refund Buyer:

NEW AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 6-Core 3.6GHz Socket AM4 95W YD260XBCAFBOX Desktop CPU (#273199629348)

So as long as you get a fairly quick shipping confirm, no worries. *Shrug*

I bit last Tuesday. It look them until Friday to ship and they used UPS ground, which is the slowest of the shipping. It will be here Thursday.... so almost a week and a half to get it. Ugh.

Same here ( purchased on last Tuesday, received feedback and an estimated arrival but no solid shipping information or tracking )

Hope it works out.

(EDIT) - Contacted the seller, they were quick to reply. They indicated that their was a hitch in the most recent delivery of product from AMD, and they hoped to have another shipment ~this thursday, and would ship shortly after.

We regret to inform you that AMD’s delivery did not arrive last Thursday. According to AMD, there was a transportation problem. AMD has to send another truck and, it will get here by Wednesday or Thursday. We will ship it as soon as possible. If you need to cancel the order, we will understand. Please let us know.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience"

I "kindly" told him I didn't buy his excuse and wanted a realistic shipping expectation. I got a shipping number 2 hours later - still not picked up but at least "shipped". I'll let you guys know if it makes it on the super special AMD Delivery truck.

Update ****Packages is en route as of 6/21/2018****

Haha, oh damn. Yeah, I ordered this past Friday, got immediate good feedback and a "delivery date" of June 21st (today) - June 28th. I figure I'll give them until then before complaining. I recently ordered a PSU from Ebay (different seller) when they had that big discount a few weeks ago, and it was the same deal. They had basically a three to four week window estimate for shipping. It eventually arrived fine.

Just updating also, my order was shipped last week and is arriving today. If I don't post again, assume it was BNIB as Fowlrock stated. All said and done took about 13 days.

YOU ARE THE EVIL TEMPTER (TEMPTRESS?).

It hurts my back to drag the stupid box out from under my desk and put in a new CPU.

Hahaha, only had to post it because i bought it myself. Easy with 8% ebay bucks back

Went from a 1700 to a 2700 last month. FPS improvement is noticable in most games for me, but just barely. Best improvement is memory overclocking. My 2866 16GB which couldnt push a mhz on my 1700, I get 3200 on my 2700.

Jumped on this 30 minutes ago with the 15% sitewide discount. Was still at $289 when I purchased!

Upgrading from an i5-2500k!

Now the agonizing wait for it and the rest of the parts lol.

ARRRG! Haha, oh well, the ebay coupon (PERFECTDAY) for 15% off would have knocked another nice chunk off of this. I think it comes to like $246. Wish I had waited! :-/ Oh well, but at least that coupon is site-wide. I just finished buying my components (motherboard, memory, and case) for a pretty nice discount with the same coupon. I'd say the 2700X at $246 is damn-near unbeatable at the moment, if you were waiting for one.

ugh...wish I had waited. Can get it for $246.49 AC. I paid $287.17 earlier this month...Not sure if it is worth re-purchasing and selling one.

I was thinking about it, but after all the hassle, it just didn't seem worth the $40. I was also thinking *maybe* Ebay would honor the coupon if I contacted them to complain, but I seriously doubt it considering coupons have date limitations, so they're under no obligation to honor it.
