AMD has released the new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 drivers today, bringing with it support for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, as well as a host of fixed issues. You can check out the full release notes, as well as download the drivers, here.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Up to 9% faster performance using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 on the Radeon RX Vega 56 (8GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.5.2 at 2560x1440 (1440p).
Up to 10% faster performance using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 on the Radeon RX 580 (8GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.5.2 at 2560x1440 (1440p).

When did they start adding footnotes for the claimed performance improvements giving the detailed specs of the machine used to measure those improvements? It's a nice bit of transparency that I'm glad to see.

It's amazing how a little caching of shader programs on the GPU speeds things up

and I still don't see a mention of support for mobile Ryzen vega apus..........

well tried to install and got error 182 amd can't identify graphics hardware. This is BS, drivers are still 17.7 its been since Nov 2017 that is going on eight months. This is the LAST Amd product I will ever buy. In my opinion a half rate company with a half rate product and obviously half rate support.. Well at least I still have my Asus Gl502 with I7 7700 and GTX1060. Intel Nvidia from now on... Wonder what I can get for a used HP x360 envy with 16GB R2500u apu with Vega 8. windows 1709, 250gb Nvme, and Sandisk 960 ssd?
.

Well, since it sucks so bad, how about $200? So, how are those Acer drivers on an HP all in one working out for you so far?:confused::rolleyes:

Still using those and no crashes. 200 dollars? Think I could get a tad more. Really it is stable this driver thing just irks the crap out of me. The machine runs all games fine at reasonable fps. It even can run Windows Mixed reality.. Guess I'll have to keep it. Some day Amd might get its act together ha ha ha ha ha ha.....in another universe....

BS this is also AMD responsibility, Intel supplies graphic drivers' Nvidia supplies graphic driver all for HP Acer Lenovo etc, etc hence it IS the responsibility of AMD and HP but if AMD won't release new drivers then HP can't supply them. And why if what you say is true does AMD supply drivers for all their other laptop chips for everyone? Sounds like you think AMD can do no wrong here. Are you their private spin doctor making excuses for them? You get THAT through your HEAD!!

no im just someone that understands the reality of laptop graphics. not all makers are equal and some lock them down so you cant use the generic drivers from amd for various reasons. hence the "issues" you are having. multiple people have told you this.

Shit man, the things works fine and you just complaining you can't update it? That doesn't make too much sense, unless security hole. And yes its the laptop vendor 100% responsible, for at least 2 reasons the type of display panel HP might be using could be a problem, and also HP might have done tweaks to their implementation that affect heat, and power... Think fried electronics. I am sure AMD is providing HP drivers
updates, its too important for them, too big a client. Does the HP update thingie works? Maybe its broken and it doesn't say anything?
Is this it?

That one is dated jan 2018. , But if it works... Dont dont fix it.

I have never had any issues of any significance with AMD drivers... Or AMD hardware in general... I admit its been too long since my last build... Last time i was looking into cryto shit was jacking up prices already and now the nintendo switch fills my time. Also, its not like you know what AMD is giving HP.. it's fair to assume they give them updates, it would be suicide not to. HP probably wont update shit or woudl do so much more slowly if they have littles issues with current software... Its not about AMD getting a universal pass, its about being fair? But sure, you should go back to Nvidia and Intel if you want of course.

Wait just a cotton pickin minute!

You have a laptop. On the AMD driver site it SPECIFICALLY states that the drivers there are NOT for laptops, and to check your laptop vender's site for drivers.

You install the drivers, have problems and somehow it's AMD's fault?

You Sir, need to turn your [H] card and replace with a [D]umbass card.

Seems that notebooks will only get WHQL releases and those are on a 3 month cycle. ;) Wish I had read the rest of the thread earlier as I had seen this yesterday.

Jeez, you taking your ball too? (that's a joke :p)
Just relax, enjoy he computer you have...
I know how it works I have been there, you want to keep polishing and polishing (updating, tweaking, benching) but it can become a lot of your time (has it?, no judgement here, as far as manias go, who cares?).
You are going to have to build your own desktop (or a newer one, if you already did) that way you can really go to town updating it, and tweaking the crap out of it (or keep doing it in any case you already do.. I guess all I am saying is its with a desktop you get to do all those updates, and all that stuff, a lot more control.. but not too much (more like none) with this particular HP laptop I guess).
