Deal of the Day - Ryzen 7 2700X - $289.99

If I wasn't saving for big ticket items like display/possible gpu/fall-winter games, I'd pull the trigger on one of these in a heartbeat. Truly a great deal. I remember spending $350 on my 4930k and thinking that was good(still do) but I believe 2700x is even better.

Yeah..unfortunately for me, I would be better off with 8700k or even 8600k. I was mighty close, though.

I'm torn between this and the 8700k just to be able to clock it high...

So was I, but 1 thing made me go the Ryzen way......My Motherboard will work for any future Ryzen CPU's. Including Ryzen 2 on 7nm.....

With the 8700k you are stuck with that chipset. Also Kyle didn't help with his great newegg deal he found from newegg, and his Crosshair VII review LOL.

But being able to upgrade my CPU with the same motherboard was really a main reason for me.

Fair point.
