I have a runco projector I'm looking to get an upgrade what projector would you suggest the one I have is from 2002

You need to give a lot more info here. Screen size, environment, resolution desired, budget, etc., before anyone can help you.

budget is not a problem just want something that is good and has true 1080p and possibly 4k under 3k and under

Native 4k isn't happening in your budget unfortunately. Pretty much only Sony manufactures them at this point (except for a single $35k JVC) and the cheapest one is the VPL-VW285ES, which runs $5k. Everything else that advertises 4k is somewhere in-between 1080p and 4k and uses pixel shifting.

For up to $3k, you can get a high end 1080p projector from Sony or JVC or a not-quite 4k one from say Optoma. I personally prefer LCoS projectors myself and you can look up a decent number of reviews online. Pretty much comes down to what you want feature wise. I don't think you'll need to worry about brightness too much as even with less than optimal light control in your room, your screen is pretty small. At least since you have a Runco currently, you shouldn't have any issues mounting something that's over 25lbs.

I personally have a Sony VPL-VW90ES, but here are some examples of what you can get given your budget:

Epson 5040UB
Sony VPL-HW45ES
JVC DLA-RS400

I would probably go with an Xbox One S.

As for wireless HDMI, the answer is that it depends on the hardware. Only 60GHz units can do uncompressed transmission. Do not bother with 5GHz units. I personally used a Gefen 60GHz one and was quite pleased with the results (selling it now though). No lag or issues with interference. Do keep in mind that there are a few limitations. 60GHz is line of sight and range is only about 10m. You also will be limited to 1080p. There are no 4k units available.

For that budget I'd suggest a Optoma UHD60. $1800 and 4k. It will blow your current projector out of the water. They aren't even comparable in terms of picture quality except maybe black level if your old one is CRT based.

That one is not really 4K. It uses pixel shifting and has a native resolution of 2716x1528.
