Bethesda committed to The Elderscrolls VI. Starfield was also announced by Bethesda, its first truly new IP released in 20 years, and promises to be an all new experience. Little information was given.

Videos.

Hmmmm....was thinking Hammerfell when I first saw the teaser run. Hopefully we hear more news soon.

Isn't it too green for Hammerfell? My first guess was southern High Rock (which is almost Hammerfell I guess), but it could be anywhere. Nirn has alot of coastline.

But yeah, I'm betting 2020 for Starfield, maybe TESVI in 2021 since they mentioned they're running multiple studios. Those were pretty thin announcements, too far off IMO.

To be fair, Prey and Dishonoured both fall under the broader Bethesda umbrella and are relatively new IPs.

Fingers crossed that Starfield is a space sim in the same vein as Star Citizen, but run by competent people,

Thet said it's player, so that's already quite different than SC.

I hope they seriously consider baking-in VR support from the get go this time. Especially for Starfield, as the game Lone Echo has pretty much cemented my belief that VR and space games are made for each other.

Both titles also look to be a good year out or more based solely on these in-depth, highly detailed, feature packed trailers.

Most likely these games will drop right around the same time that Gen 2 VR hits... and by then, Nvidia's "long time" should definitely have had a chance to spit out at least a new next gen "Ti" variant to power it all.

I really, really want this version of Elder Scrolls though:

It's real.

I'm super hyped for this.
I'm so exited I can't even get mad about Fallout 76 being online game :D

To be honest, this was sooner than I expected. I thought Bethesda would let ESO run for a couple more years at the least before releasing the next Elder Scroll game.
I'm glad I was wrong. I hope this will be a solid single player game.

I think a space RPG could be really cool. There used to be this game called Earth and Beyond way back in the day when Westwood studios was around. Then EA bought it and shut the servers down - typical EA fashion.

Though that was a MMORPG and Starfield seems it will be single player - it still has me intrigued. I wonder/hope if ships will be a part of this.

I was actually hoping for a Fallout 3 HD re-release.... and this time, Bethesda, fix the damn bugs.

Why are people getting so excited over two videos that show nothing? Lol.

Excited for Starfield, it's been a while since we had anything original, let alone anything original in a non-dystoptian scifi universe.

Starfield was a rumor up until now. This teaser confirms we are getting a space sci fi SP game from BGS, which is great.

But yeah, the TES6 announcement was truly pointless. We all knew it was coming eventually, and it's still a LONG way off.

I don't know about starfield but the elder scrolls games are awesome and exluding thebugs they always contain they are always fun. Knowing another one is coming is awesome news

I'm excited to see what kind of game-breaking physics bugs their latest iteration will include at refresh rates above 80FPS!

That is the lamest 'trailer' I've ever seen. They could have just flashed "The Elder Scrolls VI" text in front of a black background and it would have been just as informative.

the starfield trailer.. the music seemed star trekky to me

hopefully it willnt be simply TES in space.

Bethesda is dropping some serious titles coming up.....they have been busy....Doom, ES, Fallout, Starfield, Wolfensien, craziness.

Who knows how much questioning they get regarding Starfield and the next Elder Scrolls main entry title. It's probably a smart move to temper those expectations (they're being worked on, but won't be a couple of years away), and place the focus on their upcoming titles.

Super excited for ES6. I'm torn though on whether to play it at release in it's buggy state or wait for the updates and mods... I had to wait a good month before I could play Skyrim because at the time of it's release I was in-between GPU upgrades. By the time I played it there was several updates released and hundreds of mods which made me love the game more when I was finally was able to start playing it.

2019, at the earliest - not even alpha gameplay shown

I think that's optimistic. They are polishing off Fallout 76 right now, Todd said that they are working on Starfield, and then they'll bring us ES 6. We'll probably see gameplay of ES 6 in 2020 and release probably in 2021 or 2022.

...you know we're all going to buy on day one regardless. lol. :p

Not sure why that would be a problem. It could be what Mass Effect Andromeda wasn't. I'm really excited to see what they come up with.

Nothing like a company logo running for third the length of the video. Fuck is wrong with these people.

The Prey IP is at least 20 years old.

Being an optimist, I would hope that they wouldn't tease something more than 18 months away from launch :/
On the other hand, the new engine looks nice, but is new... so longer delays wouldn't surprise me

"Star Citizen, but run by competent people"... LOL
/I'd buy that sort of game

Both Starfield and ES is confirmed for next gen consoles, that puts it atleast 2 years out imo. Also ES is after Starfield (which most likely will be a launch title) so I would guestimate the real timeframe is 3 years at a minimum and probably close to 4.

The clips don't give much away, no idea what either will look like from them !!
