Original Deal is Dead, but Dell has this monitor for $399 with a $100 eGift card. The eGift cards are pretty good if you have something else in mind at Dell (console stuff, games, peripherals, etc), or you can get something like $90 for the $100 eGift card on the giftcard flipping sites.

One Day Only Deal of the Day, this matches the best price seen a few times during Black Friday etc.

This resolution and refresh are no longer cutting edge and newer monitors are coming down the pipe, but they will also be a lot more expensive so at $350 this Dell is still a great entry level G-Sync panel. It is TN but its a 10-bit panel and most everyone who tries or owns one loves it for gaming, plenty of previous of threads with user feedback if you run a search.

Would recommend. Make sure you check the revision that is on the box, shoot for A08 as it is the latest revision. It is definitely as good as my XR341CK in terms of color or brightness but I find it perfectly acceptable for gaming and general use.

This is nice for TN panel. Wish I need one but I may pick one up for my son.

Went by the store to check it out. Decent enough viewing angles, but the color is not like an IPS panel, which is what I currently use. However, 60 hz to double that seems worthwhile, and I'm hopeful with calibration it might be acceptable. Thoughts?

Amazing monitor, I have one. Probably the best 1440p monitor in this price range by far.

Threw one of those custom ICC color profiles on there too, and it’s incredible.

Just a solid solid monitor, especially if your a competitive gamer

The out of box uncalibrated color is washed out by most accounts, you can either load up a custom ICC color profile as bizzmeister suggested, but even increasing Digital Vibrance by +10% in the NVCP helps a lot.

Why did you do this to me! I've been stalking this exact monitor @ Best Buy (Quick and Easy Exchange if pixels don't meet my requirements) for weeks and now that I've lost hope and spent a ton of money on other things, it finally goes on sale... My wallet is about to divorce me!

I bought one. Never had a Gsync monitor, my OG Catleap 2B is showing age, $350+ tax and free shipping is cheap enough I'll give it a whirl.

Damn. Bought this last month when BB had it for a $400 daily deal and now I'm out of the return window. The monitor is worth it at least.

Ended up ordering an open box, cause that's all that was left. If it is up to standards, great. If not, back it goes.

Updated version of this deal for those that missed out on the BestBuy sale.

This many sales at once tends to point at an update/refresh or possibly shifting to the Alienware branded G-Sync panels recently released.

Mine came, zero dead pixels, acceptable backlight bleed, A09 rev, seems to work fine. I only hooked it up to a 980Ti to test it out, it'll eventually end up hooked to a TitanXp rig - to busy/lazy to sort that out right at the moment, but I've always wanted to try that rig on a high refresh and/or Gsync monitor..

Sweet thanks for the heads up on the Dell Deal. Ordered the monitor and it will be here Friday! With the free $100 gift card I plan to get some Sony Bluetooth headphones with mic for $98. Cannot beat this deal at all people!

Got one today, will see how it turns out when it arrives next week. Hopefully it works well.

So I got the monitor, and man I DO LOVE it quite a bit. But did anyone even get the $100 eGift card?

ahhh yea I just went and looked. UGH o well still a great deal. Honestly paying $399 for this monitor is really a good deal. It is spendy trying to find a good 144hz 1440p gsync monitor for this price.

Indeed, have this monitor too, been pretty spectacular.

Maybe, it this monitor has been going on sale regularly for over a year now.

Much resist the temptation to purchase one... I've had my LG Ultrawide for about 2 years and am still 'unsure' about the weird resolution.

Well, just got it today and wow. 144Hz is amazing. Colors did look washed out as heck out of the box, but just by turning down the brightness a lot and fiddling with the NVidia Color Vibrance, it looks alright. Coming from IPS, yeah, it doesn't look as good, but I'm fine with the slight drop in color and the slight color shift with side-to-side head movement. I just can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Doom and Killing Floor 2 look really, really, smooth. And the Windows desktop -- :woot::woot::woot:. My eyes can't get over it.

Welcome to the 144hz crew :)

Here's some calibration settings to start with if you want to tweak it some more: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_s2716dg.htm#calibration

After dialing it in I think it looks just as good as the Asus PG279Q IPS that I used for a couple of weeks.

The profile really helped and yeah, it's really, really good. Didn't have to use the Nvidia Color Settings. Just turned up the Digital Vibrance to 60% to make it slightly more saturated.
