i have this card and it's awesome ! very good performance just like a full size card. Great for itx builds.

My nephew loves his. Out of box, it is at stock clocks. That's easy to fix, of course. His overclocks just as well as my full size EVGA two fan 1080.

This may be a stupid question, but if they can make cards like this size just as powerful as their full-size counterparts, then why bother with the larger cards?

Better cooling and thus oc room. I don't think they have a mini water version for example. Otherwise yeah. Pretty much the same.

People will buy cards they think look better and have larger coolers.

These cards have more engineering in them. The coolers have more time in design. One fan is larger than the other it's all in the design. Alot of people think since they are smaller that they perform different than the full size cards. So that's probably why it's cheaper.

aesthetics and people think they will OC better or stay cooler. But honestly with Pascal you can get similar OC from most cards and they still run cool. Nvidia kinda had a smash hit design with pascal and they made overclocking too damn easy with new boost clocks lol.
