Titan XP Overclocking Results

So I recently acquired myself a Titan XP and after putting it under a CLC I am getting what I consider phenomenal overclocking results. I am just curious what others have gotten out of theirs to compare.

Currently I run it at +230/+500 and it clocks up to 2114 and once up to temp drops to ~2063-2088. Up to temp is around 49-50c after 15 mins.

This is about what my 1080 could do, or slightly worse, so I feel I got myself a good sample here. Is anyone else getting to these clocks or higher? So far everything seems stable without any artifacting/crashing. My score never went down with the memory clock increase so there is no error correcting going on it seems either. I just don't want to push it farther when things seem fine if my clocks are already considered pretty high, but the [H] in me tells me to do it anyways and see what happens.

Edit: I forgot to mention I am not messing with voltage, the does not seem to help me at all but throttle more due to TDP.

I'm at +200/+500 under water. I've pushed the GPU further but it always throttles down to 2066. temps never rise above 50c even after several hours of play.
 
That's a damn good result. I think most of us are around an even 2 GHz whether on air or water. I've settled on around 1960 on air, which is where it settles during a gaming session. Typically never goes above 75C.

Those are pretty good temps on air. I couldn't get mine to hold below 80c without the fan revving pretty high and lots of throttling. That's why I put the CLC on it. What kind of curve do you have set?

Does that get pretty loud or are you a headphone user? I couldn't handle the cooler noise after breaking 70% fan. But, my computer is only 2 ft away from me as well.
Headphones most of the time, but I also usually have a box fan on me (PC is sitting 4-5 feet away on the floor). It's not as loud as the Maxwell version and not as high pitch, so it doesn't really bother me if I'm not using my headphones.

I was doing a case swap this weekend and need to still clean my water loop, so I put everything back in on air with the stock blower cooler. I put CLP on the die and heatsink and temps are actually pretty low, not breaking 70c after 4-5 hours of Dark Souls 3 at 2560x1440 on ultra, ambient room temp 25c. I tested Witcher 3 (3440x1440 ultra) as well but not nearly as long and temperatures hold really well and the system is inaudible, quieter than my water cooling with EK Vardar fans, I think the max fan speed the GPU is hitting is around 60% of course the boost clocks aren't as high, boost clock is sticking around 1980mhz (on water it was 2088).

So I agree the new blower is defiantly quiet and not annoying at all.

I originally put in a Titan Black while I was pulling the block off my Titan X and it was significantly louder probably 2-3x louder. I might just stay on air cooling for a few months and see how it goes currently debating if I want to continue water cooling since it's been a headache the last 2 rebuilds of my loop.
 
I just got mine not too long ago. Haven't put it under water or ln2 yet, but on the stock cooler with a bump in power to 114% I'm getting +180/+400
 
My titan xp 2016 gets to 2000 for moment but hangs around 1.9 typically. Memory at 11.2 but can go higher. I need to put it under water

Also have my 8700K running at 5.2 Ghz 24/7 and this system just screams and is smooth as butter on my Gsync Asus PG278Q

For a Water Cooling noob whats a good route for water cooling the Titan X 2016? Any AIOs exist or even those EKWB modular kits? I saw them sold out at their site.

You and I have the same exact setup except I'm still on a 4770K. Even with a Haswell CPU this still rips.

Any Titan X I would suggest getting EKWB block for it and getting a good 2 X 120 rad if you are cooling the GPU only and a pump with a top doesn't matter D5 or DDC. If you are a rookie and don't feel like bending hard lines then soft lines would be fine to connect everything.

I would never install a CLC or buy a modular kit. I always want the highest grade components when I am watercooling.

The 1080 Ti HYBRID from EVGA works on the Titan X and Xp, but you'll need an extra thermal pad for the twelfth GDDR5X chip and cap on the back of the card.

Mine is a Titan X and holds around 1930-1950 MHz on the core while gaming with a temp delta of 20-24C. Absolute temperature is 46-50C, or just 3-7C warmer than the custom loop posted above. I am using the included fan pushing exhaust through the radiator out the back of my case.

Thank you, I would go to a full WC setup if i had that cash right now, this idea works better for me atm.

The fluid gaming kits from EK have pretty darn good results for being an all aluminum kit, which is what allows them to offer it for so much less. You can get within a few degrees shy of a custom copper-based loop for a lot less money.

They have a 240 kit and a 360 kit depending on what you are looking for and the size of your case. The kits come with everything you need, including a gpu block. I read up on them quite a bit, and from what the test results were showing they are super cost effective.

Wow i like that 240 but with my ncase space is always a concern. Ncase m1 user here.

Ja, I want to do one of these for my next build, which may be coming end of this year or into next.
 
Yea I have been tempted to pick one up as well just for a nice and easy loop to have on the test bench

Yeah, I cheaped out and went with two GTX 1080 hybrid kits since they only set me back $160 total for both. The 1080Ti versions are only better if you actually want to swap out the baseplate in order to install the custom shroud (the 1080 kit requires modification to mount the custom plate on a 1080Ti/Titan); I decided not to do that and just left the stock parts on there with no shroud on the front section of the card since I have enough airflow from the blower fans and my top case fan to cool all the components that the plate covers.

Mine are running at +155/495; not exactly amazing results but I haven't tried going higher since they normally don't sweat much running stuff at 3440x1440 gsync with a 97FPS cap.

You might be able to fit the 240 in there? Idk, it looks pretty tight with how the input and output is on the end of the rad like that. Here's dimensions

Mem has no issue for me but Core is struggling around 1898MHZ-2000MHZ. But nothing consistent.
 
Ok saw a slight artifact at 725 Mem, went down to 700 mem after testing but thats ok.
 
Anyone running 4k. What kind of gains do you get with a +150-200 increase on the core?
 
At 4K-5K I get more significant gains from pushing the memory, but that may be an artifact from using DSR to do it.

Don't forget that as you start pushing around/past +200MHz on the core, you can actually start to see the clockspeed plateau or even slightly decrease in demanding games/benchmarks when you use over +600 memory since the memory's power consumption can start digging into the total power limit and prevent the core from getting enough extra juice to reach the next boost strap. In most games it probably won't happen, but with artificial stress tests, it's more likely to rear its ugly head.
 
I ask out of curiosity more than for any specific game. At stock, I have no complaints and I run the gamut of games when I have the chance.

Lowered mem to 500 and clocks were higher, saw the card hit 2100 for a second but the real range was 1976 to 2012. I'm thermally limited until i find get a good cooler that fits my case.
 
I recently scored a TXp Collectors edition on the cheap (for this card), coming from a 1080Ti. Yeah yeah, not a big leap but I figured I already had the Titan X block from Swiftech and I had the itch so why not. Slapped her on and she holds a 2075MHz boost, +170 Core, at 45c after an hour of BF1. The 1080Ti wouldn't clock much beyond 2025MHz, so I'm pretty satisfied with the results! Memory pegged at +375 for now.

Swiftech definitely makes a great looking block!
