Hi guys, after getting a :
Mac Mini Desktop Late 2012 MD388LL/A 2.3GHz i7 4GB 1TB
to which I have purchased 16 gb I am planning to have 2 monitors at the same type.
In latin america Apple stuff is quite rare so I finally got a chance to get some low end stuff ( yes I hope to be able to plunge some SSD's ) but at the time being I need some sort of device I can send as soon as possible AKA amazon ( since my borther does not know how much time he will be asked to remain on east coast).

I had already spent quite a bit ( for my hardware spendings in an OS I have never ever used ) and would like to have something that .. just works. Any ideas ?

BTW one of the monitor is old and just has vga and the other one has vga and dvi

Feedback is very welcomed :)

As an Amazon Associate, HardForum may earn from qualifying purchases.
If I remember right that system has Mini-DisplayPort and HDMI for the output on that.
I would find an HDMI to DVI adapter and a Mini-DP to VGA adapter.

I’d honestly look at new monitors as an option. Anything that just has vga probably isn’t even worth using anymore. Even 24” dell 1080p IPS panels are going for less than $150.

Sadly I would consider such option ( of getting a more suitable display) but as mentioned a couple of mins ago I live in argentina and the US is extremely cheap compared to how they f us.
I am now making use of a Thunderbolt adapter and works but the image is not precisely neat.
Ill go and check my reading glasses since I am having a hard time spotting special characters in xcode with this setup
A friend of mine is trying to find me a suitable connector to make the secondary display work .
The mini, ram upgrade, swift course, getting proper furniture for my computer and a couple of ssds is Def not something I can afford altogether.

If it has Thunderbolt, then you can simply use a Display Port to whatever port you need adapter. If VGA, then that. But as has been mentioned, display quality will suffer.
Using fully digital displays will help you out a lot if you care about quality. I know you can't do it yet, but when you can finally get around to it, it will help a lot.

EDIT: Ideally you'll want to move to 2x displays that use Displayport, if you want to use the most up-to-date technology that will last you far longer than buying a DVi or VGA display.
