Dutch Police and the UK's National Crime Agency have arrested the admins of Webstresser.org and seized the website. Webstresser allowed you to rent its services, and those services happen to be an array of Distributed Denial of Service attacks. Six of its admins spread out across, Canada, Croatia, Scotland, and Serbia have all been taken into custody. The hardware used has also been seized. The infrastructure was located in the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. Great to see the LEOs getting serious about this type of cybercrime. The operation was named "Power Off."

"Don't do it," Gert Ras, head of the Dutch police's High Tech Crime unit, said. "By tracking down the DDoS service you use, we strip you of your anonymity, hand you a criminal record and put your victims in a position to claim back damages from you."

So are they going to get DDOS'ed in prison?

(I'm sure someone will come up with a good meaning here...)

Dirty Dicks Of Sheep. Disturbingly Deep Oozy Shags. (I've read that prison rape jokes are old and cliché...but hey I can't resist.)

Aww, man! How am I going to knock off my high school's website from the internet.. you know to teach them a lesson for that detention I got for simply telling ol' Ms Fargle she was totes wrong on her grading my math homework!? LOIC is totally too old skool (and hard to figure out).. so it seemed best to use mom's credit card for this service.. Not like she was going to use it for anything but xanex and margaritas!

Was this service advertised for nefarious deeds, or was it simply abused? Not familiar with the website and only read the quip.
