Yes another battle royale game. However they are taking it to the next level. They are supposed to release official game play this month which im sure will be the Demo they show at E3. If this is as good as it seems like it will be ill be uninstalling PUBG.

ton of people didn't buy cs go, battlefield 1, call of duty? way more money has been made on first person titles than third person ones.

I've avoided third person games for years, particularly if a game was designed to be a tactical shooter since the camera essentially ruins a lot of the positioning aspect. Fortnite is the first third person game I caved to play since 1) you can build your own cover, 2) it has a faster paced arena-like feel (it's more TF2 than CS:GO), and 3) it's the first game in years where my RL friends were all playing together on PC.

I really don't get the appeal of a game designed to be realistic but then allows you to see more than you naturally could see from your position.

It's way too early to judge this particular IP, but I think it's pretty clear that server infrastructure, anti-cheat, and ongoing developer support will absolutely make or break a battle royale game. You can have the coolest ideas and best graphics in the world but if you drop the ball on any of those you're DOA.

You couldn't be more wrong and they aren't going to deliberately make their game a failure to satistisfy a few people. If you don't like third person the battle royal genre is not for you.
 
They just redid the website. allowing signups for beta. Site is down cause so many are trying to register. lol

I wonder if anyone is gonna be able to sign up. I set my alarm so I would check the site but I missed it by 30 mins.
 
I was account number 1210. Site is still slow but if your patient it will load.

I was able to sign up. beta in oct. was hoping to see some actual gameplay. like looting, how the game actually starts.
