@ those prices, the 1080.
I am waiting for somebody who joined so called "boycott" to justify spending $270 more.

You said rather , not which would you.
I joined the boycott after GPP as well.
IF you are in for a Gsync or Freesync monitor, then the $270 difference would be mitigated by the monitor cost.
Anyway, I wouldn't buy either at those prices
So, it's the FreeSync tax!
Sure, we can call it that. Either way, vote with your wallet, or one day you'll only have one choice
Wrong, Intel is entering the market so we don’t need AMD around.
Yeah, we haven't heard that one before... When intel releases a working gaming oriented gpu that is competitive, I'll believe your comment.
Additionally, What makes you think intel is making one when they literally just glued an AMD GPU onto their cpus? And why would intel , which has very little R&D experience in this field, end up being able to compete with either nV or AMD ?
I've actually been wondering if anyone has ever taken the mm^2 used by their iGPUs and extrapolated it out for say a 300 or 600mm^2 discrete.
Intel might have an advantage with interconnects? It seems they do on the CPU side.
It would be nice if Intel was to release the first Quad core GPU over AMD & NVidia

Booting AMD from the GPU market and replacing them with Intel is not reassuring.
AMD is a dead garbage company, the best thing to do is for it to sell RTG to Intel and bow out of the market.
Don't know even where to begin with this comment.
Intel made Quad core CPU Right! So have an open mind if Intel was to release a first Quad Core GPU! in there new graphic cards that would push lazy AMD and NVidia from a single GPU to Quad is that easy to understand? Because why are we still in a single core GPU market when everything have been update over the years and moved on but not GPU, that why gamers had SLI better then single core & more ram but it didn't take off and now it dying and most games don't support it.

It's why Raja joined Intel in the first place, to get their discrete GPU project underway. Intel is definitely coming and they are seemingly serious so I don't doubt they will have something decent by 2020. Whether it's enough to take on NVIDIA is very questionable but they should be able to steal enough AMD/NVIDIA engineers and/or license AMD IP to get competitive. Intel has its own fabs and has a net profit around 10x what NVIDIA earns so it won't take long for them to catch up and possibly surpass the competition; AMD is basically a nonfactor after 2020. GPP isn't NVIDIA being concerned about AMD, this is all about Intel.
It is to me because now we can truly have competition in the GPU market rather than "wait till..." which has been AMD's mantra the last several years. I'm genuinely excited to have Intel entering the fray because we'll have two powerful and dirty companies battling each other and this is where consumers can win again. AMD is a dead garbage company, the best thing to do is for it to sell RTG to Intel and bow out of the market.

Any other diamonds from this brilliant intellect?
Man if you don't know what the heck are you taking about please stop and don't say anything. Stop embarrassing yourself..
What are you smoking?
CPU architecture is nothing like GPU architecture. Anything even remotely resembling what you might consider a "core" inside a GPU was introduced almost 15 years ago about the time when they started counting "Cuda Cores" and "stream processors". Even that analogy isn't completely correct, but it should give you an idea of how much more multi-task oriented a GPU is over any Intel CPU out there.
are you applying a personal attack when I replied to you in a reasonable way.Any other diamonds from this brilliant intellect?
Careful. I got accused of attacking him when I asked him did he speak English.
You can have an opinion. So I can't have an opinion and freedom of speech on the forum is that what you are applying! also have an open mind for the future?

So another member thinks I can't have an opinion of my own!

Are you some kind of millennial? everything it's an attack, everything hurts your feelings.. are we all retrograde? lol.. if you don't know what are you talking or saying it's just better to not say anything, it's the best advice I can give you for any internet forum board or you will be constantly crying due " personal attacks". that's all I will say, there's a difference between having an educated guess and speak completely nonsense things, ignorance in this forum it's [H]ardly forgiven...
You can have an opinion.
That doesn't mean people have to pat you on the back when you spout retarded nonsense.
Ahh, classic 5150 joker
And there is me thinking this is a Computer forum basic on opinions and know how also friends, What I can't expect is Personal attacks on language, race, colour in my life I have joined many Computer forums over this years but sadly some close down also camera forums, you also are soo quick to judge me basic on what I write but you know nothing of me, instead you attack me because of what I write but I don't personal attack you or anyone. I didn't make the forum Rules if you want to ignore me that's fine just add me to your list because I don't add anyone to mine.
have a peaceful day
weird because wasn't AMD who was pushing Tessellation as the "future" right?. well no, it wasn't AMD it was ATI since TruForm up to TeraScale 2 with the HD5000 series.. so Nvidia had a superior Geometric performance was an Nvidia Fault?. Gameworks features hurt also Nvidia GPUs but just less than AMD Cards, which also it's not a huge drama anymore since polaris as the geometry performance was improved, don't like the performance drop? as you said above just turn it off.
[GPP? I said lot of times before, this current 30% - 40% leap of performance between generations can't be achieved forever, Nvidia want to be seen as the superior and premium GPU vendor as they are, they don't want their GPUs to be in the same category as AMD products are, they want to be seen as exclusive and that's what GPP it's for, because they know there will be a point where things will get slow in the technological performance department and they want to be as far as possible from AMD, which also confirm that they doesn't care about AMD, enough to not want their brands of GPU together in the same category of AMD GPUs.
Back to the basics here, apparently.
1. SLI and Crossfire are dead because it's too hard to program multiple GPUs to work together, the game development shops can't do it, and the GPU manufacturers aren't willing to supply the technical resources any longer to make it happen
2. A video card with multiple GPUs would necessarily need SLI or Crossfire to work
3. Intel hasn't produced a consumer "GPU" (I use that term loosely) since the i740
This is why we're having trouble with your posts. This is a technical forum. You're distilling a difficult problem down to "wouldn't it be nice if company XYZ could do ABC" whilst misspelling words and using bad grammar.
They are effectively attempting to prevent AMD from ever being competitive again by forcing AIBs to relegate AMD cards to second tier status by withholding marketing funds. This is illegal. There will be consequences. Get over it.
Will buy the fastest gaming card for 4k , each and every time.
Been on Titan's now for 3 generations of them.
When AMD builds the fastest single card I'll buy theirs.
When's that likely to happen ?
