Guys let's support AMD gpu, and boycott Nvidia, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI

And you know why that happens? Because it's what people like you voted for. When all is said and done, government is the way it is because, deep down, this is what you wanted.

Not the place (soapbox), but your naivety is cute.

Going to get a Zen+ when they're released. Was going to grab an ASUS board too.

Would have gone with an RX Vega but they were absurdly marked up by retailers upon launch. Ended up getting too good a price on a 34" ultrawide G-SYNC to pass up.

Will gladly switch to AMD for GPU and monitor if they can get something competitive into consumers' hands at their stated MSRP. Also waiting on FreeSync 2 and more capable monitors as the specs on the current ones are a bit lackluster compared to G-SYNC unfortunately.

End of the day - Shitty of these companies to do - especially when they're basically the big 3 motherboard makers too.

Nvidia seems to be going all out, the comments are pretty funny and reminds me of my fcked nvidia gpus in dells, hp, and thinkpads, macbooks we had at work back in the days. I actually welcome a real Intel GPU, I've not heard much of that but if true that's a plus for every consumer even if I hate Intel tactics a 3rd major GPU maker is going to push the performance and make pricing better for all of us regardless of which gpu you choose. And I'm not sure nvidia wants a legal battle with Intel.

AMD sure as shit would. They have a riddled past.

Also corporations are like women. They're all sluts at heart, some just hide it better.

AMD staight up lies. Remember the Fury X benchmarks no one could replicate? RX480 power issues they tried to ignore and were banning customers from forum? RX480 crossfire being faster than a 1080 at 51% util and cheaper? I can go on and on. Any single one is worse to me than nVidia's branding decisions. Like who the hell buys on a brand?

LOL What the hell?

For balance why don't you write all the lies Nvidia has done.

Not that any of this matters, it's all moot conjecture, because, It's not AMD that are doing this, it's Nvidia. And if AMD were doing it, it would still be wrong.

And who the hell buys on branding? Are you for real? Only most of the market. Why do you think companies spend so much money developing a brand?

Lastly, it's not Nvidias branding, it's branding that the AIB's developed that Nvidia are telling them what to do with.

I was responding to a post that was treating AMD hollier than thou. You're treating the post like it was random.

Straight up lieing about performance >> branding nonsense to me. Again, it was in response to a AMD does no wrong post. nVidia has had their fair share of shadiness, I never said they didn't.

Wow, I would attempt to care, but it's hard to when your video card is actually capable of doing above 60fps at 4k :)

(Yes I"m a Nvidia user right now, but I would buy amd if they performed better).

Going to get flak for this, but uneducated people buy based off of branding.

If any of them did an ounce of research they could see if there are better alternatives.

I honestly don’t care about GPP, I research. But the other 100/1000 whatever don’t and I can honestly see them buying whatever looks cooler, sounds better etc...

This is the second time I have seen you post nearly the same thing. The other time it was agreeing to somebody who claimed AMD would do this if they had the market. We don't know if they would. And nothing you can or others can prove that.

And you really consider Nvidia/AMD bending the truth about their products in their marketing is worse than what's happening with Nvidia basically taking ownership of the AIB gaming brands? Wow. I really don't know what to say to that.

I buy Brand names in Computer parts better then 2nd best AMD and cheaper brands, It seems to me that your hate is for NVidia for some reason!, because that's all you talk about on here are you for real? and trying to spread the word in your name well I am not follower.:)

AMD has done worse than this, that's how I know. And bending the truth? Bending the truth is claiming 10% more perf, not 30% (Fury X) or double (RX 480).

Controlling how your product is represented by your integrators is NORMAL across many industries! This whole thing is asinine.

Nonsense. I am 100% sure, if it was AMD that was doing this, you would be shouting from the rooftops about how bad it was.

Erm? can you speak English?

Nonsense. I am 100% sure, if it was AMD that was doing this, you would be shouting from the rooftops about how bad it was.

You don't actually say anything meaningful. You just attack the person.

You just did it to AORUS too:

Erm? can you speak English?

Lets ignore I am in meetings with CEOs or VPs forcing this same shit in a different industry and no one blinks an eye. I was critical of nVidia during all their scandals that actually affected the person, like the 3.5GB VRAM nonsense.

This whole thread is centered around that this is some abnormal evil act, it's not, it's nVidia controlling their image. And also that AMD is the "good guy" which is certainly bullshit as well.

You don't actually say anything meaningful. You just attack the person.

No, sorry, what I did was make an assumption about what you would do in a situation. There is no way I could know what you will do, just like there is no way you would know what AMD would do.

As for Auros, I asked him a question. Where was the attack?

And I shall ignore the meetings you are in, because they have nothing to do with this situation.

If you ask me question I would reply to you, but you attack me on my English.

Sorry, your sentence made no sense, so i asked you do you speak English. If you are reading anything more into it, that's your problem not mine.

They fit in nicely with these multibillion dollar companies that have the customer's best interests in mind.

I have to admit, as someone who has worked at almost all the companies indicated in these threads - I find it amusing that anyone thinks any of these companies is a good-guy.

A publicly held corporation is an entity designed to make money, with no personal responsibility. This is not an impotent hippie-esque fist-shaking at The Man, this is reality. If you think Company X gives two shits about you, you're very very wrong. They'll pretend to care if it suits them. They may even pretend to do good for a while.

Remember "Don't Be Evil?" Neither does Google.

Thank you, I've iterated this multiple times before and its always ignored. Publicly traded companies only care about making money and pleasing their investors, they aren't there to be your friends. These types of "programs" or deals happen far more times than you know in many other industries that do affect you and to greater extents than GPP.

That doesn't make it right. Are we just supposed to be content with it because companies in other industries got away with it?

I never said it makes it right or wrong. I'm simply pointing out this is how business in a capitalistic economy works.

I speak English & write in English every day , if you first replied to me and said 'your sentence made no sense" I would have reply in a peaceful way to you,,but you didn't ..

I did, It wasn't an attack, It was an honest question based on the sentence you wrote. Sorry if the question offended you.

OP I can't support AMD. I game at 4k resolution. And in games like FFXV my GTX 1080 Ti SLI setup is barely adequate. Pretty soon Vega is going to be a "value" part competing against the GTX 1160. Are you saying everyone who wants more performance than that should downgrade their gaming experience just so they can support AMD?

Honestly I would sooner become a console gamer than I would run AMD graphics hardware in my computer.

I can spend $886.63 for a Radeon RX Vega 64 and another $75.47 for a power supply to power it.
WOW!
Tough choices!

Maybe you can be green and just make the difference up in Solar Panels? Please think of the Environment. _Thank You_ :troll:

Just Disable Nvidia gameworks ;)

Well you could ignore what he is saying and just do what you want. Just don't come complaining about expensive Nvidia hardware in the AMD forum :)

can't be the same said about AMD?. AMD cards are cheaper precisely due Nvidia offerings in the market, otherwise they would be more expensive in each possible segments.

HD 7970 was 550$ at launch 200$ more expensive than the HD 6970 it was replacing, GTX 680 was 500$ at launch same price of the GTX 580 it was replacing, it inmediatelly forced AMD to drop the price of the HD 7970 to 499$ also launching the HD 7970 ghz edition just to be able to compete with the GTX 680.. wow those nvidia prices.

AMD R9 290X launched at 550$, same price as the GTX 780 but this time it outperformed so nvidia launched the 780Ti at 600$ and what happened? it forced to drop the prices not only for the r9 290X but also the r9 290 to 499$ and 400$ respectively, then nvidia launched GTX 900 series, GTX 980 at 550$ and GTX 970 at 329$, what happened? r9 290X down to 390$ and r9 290 below 299$, damn.. those nvidia prices.. then, Fury X was meant to be a 850$ - 900$ due HBM and AIO, however Nvidia launched GTX 980Ti at 650$ couple of weeks before the launch of the Fury X, and guess what? AMD launched at 649$ the Fury X selling at loss!! daaaaamn those Nvidia ultra expensive prices..

And then well, we all know the history of Vega Right?. as it was unable to compete with the 1080Ti, it launched even above GTX 1080 Prices, have to remember the official GTX 1080 Price down to 499$ with the new 11gbps memory? at the 1080Ti launch.. damn.. those nvidia prices.. so, who it's limitting prices itself due to competition? It's nvidia or AMD?. Nvidia stated LOT of times that they simply doesn't care anymore of AMD since years ago, if they want to sell GPUs they have to compete with themselves launching cards with Enough Performance jump to make people upgrade, at a wortwhile price... so this stupid thing that AMD have Nvidia prices under control it's a complete nonsense thinking..

Why don't you buy a Nvidia HBM2 based card for the money you can several HBM2 Vega cards. I have no interest in checking prices on Nvidia launch products. But if you want to look at something funny back in the days when consumers got the fastest cards none of them were selling for prices like $3000 .

Actually if Nvidia does not care about AMD then why enforce GPP?
Why have GameWorks features used tessellation that slows down more on AMD then on Nvidia
Contradiction is it not?

In other words your narrative does not fit the statement you are making.

Isn't that the whole point of what he is saying though? That having competition helps lower prices and what Nvidia is doing with GPP will mean more expensive prices in future.

The 780Ti launched at $699, it had no bearing on the AMD prices. The 290x and 290 prices didn't drop until after the 970/980 were released.

And come on, that $849 was from a clickbait site. Other sites had the price at $649. You can't say that he 980ti release forced AMD to drop the price of the Furyx.

Despite the first few lines of this post so far, I kind of agree with what you are saying. Nvidia hasn't really let AMD/ATI influence it's pricing much over the years. I can only think of one occasion and that's when AMD released the 4xxx cards.

weird because wasn't AMD who was pushing Tessellation as the "future" right?. well no, it wasn't AMD it was ATI since TruForm up to TeraScale 2 with the HD5000 series.. so Nvidia had a superior Geometric performance was an Nvidia Fault?. Gameworks features hurt also Nvidia GPUs but just less than AMD Cards, which also it's not a huge drama anymore since polaris as the geometry performance was improved, don't like the performance drop? as you said above just turn it off.

it's Nvidia Titan V a gaming card?. as far I know it's a Prosumer card with Gaming capabilities.. what's the problem with it?. I don't see it marketed for gaming and I don't see gamers rushing for it, any gamer know that the consumer Volta it's the one to pick to upgrade over current GTX 10XX series..in any case Nvidia Titan V it's a super cheap alternative to Tesla V100 cards to those who are entering in the realm of AI.

GPP? I said lot of times before, this current 30% - 40% leap of performance between generations can't be achieved forever, Nvidia want to be seen as the superior and premium GPU vendor as they are, they don't want their GPUs to be in the same category as AMD products are, they want to be seen as exclusive and that's what GPP it's for, because they know there will be a point where things will get slow in the technological performance department and they want to be as far as possible from AMD, which also confirm that they doesn't care about AMD, enough to not want their brands of GPU together in the same category of AMD GPUs.
