My Work has tasked me with imaging about 30 laptops, I believe Dell Latitude 6430, 6530. I would like to be able to do them all at once. BTW, this is a at home project. I get paid to do them on my own time, just cant use work time or resources.

I have been using Serva to image my customers machines but that is a stock Windows 7 or Windows 10 install disc that Serva sets up for PXE boots and it works so far flawlessly.

But this time I want to install one laptop with all the apps and drivers and create an image of that and add to Serva so I can then PXE boot and it comes with everything. I am not sure what Serva needs to create the PXE boot files, it basically says to add the file from a Win7 or Win10 disc and it goes from there.

I hope someone can help with this or knows Serva alot better than I do to help with this.

Thanks

Micorosft Deployment Tool server. Set up a VM, build the image, let MDT build the Windows instal.wim, and deploy via PXE. You can get all the appropriate drivers for it to preload.

That's the route we've gone for our system deployments for about 20 different models. We've been using it on hundreds of computers (if not a thousand by now)

Yeah, you could set up MDT. But because this appears to be a one time thing, you may want to just use a program that can capture images that is a little easier, something like Macrium Reflect. You can Google find tutorials.

But I'm really surprised that your work will not allow you to use work time to image work computers. That's really kind of odd, unless you're not actually in IT.

This. and find another job. That is slave work.

Subcontract to a middleschool IT enthusiast and head to the beach. :D

I like the idea of exploring MDT. For a onetime project, would you be able to Sysprep them and then use something like Clonezilla as well?

^ what he said. create images and use clonezillase to deploy via pxe.
