While I'm at it, a tribute to JustinTv back in the day, woman behind looks like Troi and I think she senses something.

Am I the only one that actually thought about what the fuck facebook was going to do with information I wilfully gave them in 2006? It was literally an option. Like all those fucking toolbars installed on morons PC's. Theres a little tick box you click. Read the fucking terms. You dont have to read every word, skim the damn thing. If its 10 pages, then you probably dont want them to have your phone number unless they are giving you money. Zuckerburg isnt a genius, but it's god damn hilarious what people have given him. And suddenly their stupidity is his responsibility. Its like paying child support for a blow job.

There was an article here on [H]ard and a few other places last year regarding EULA's and how most don't read 'em. A company in U.K. had created a fake one for a real program as a test and in the middle it stated that agreement included some amount of voluntary public service hours. I think something like tens of thousands agreed in a matter of days before they came forth with the experiment to the public. Check it out, I think you'll get a good laugh.

Hey, Jefe, did you get your GDPR note from Google Analytics today?

Personally, I think things are going to get a lot hotter before they cool down.

Again, if you believe that is all they do, but even FB is not saying that is all they do. They are insinuating that is what they do and that they do not specifically sell data. But again, if you listen to other comments from them, they are admitting to selling data as well. So, again, which is it? And is that really all they are doing with the data? We know that isn't all they do with the data, but they are not forthcoming about it.

Maybe you should look up quotes on "assuming things".

Also, what data are they selling? Did they specifically say they were selling user data? As I said before, I'm sure they do allow 3rd parties to see data, based off user data, but not the user data itself.

I'm sure they do all kinds of things with the data, but I don't see them selling off the actual user data and nothing you have states, nor the hearings says they sell off user data.

But really believe what you want. If you think he is telling the truth at this hearing, for which he was not sworn in, then go ahead and believe it. It isn't like FB has a track record of lying over and over and over again to its users...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Tell me what they lied about. I won't deny that Facebook has a record of not giving out all the information about itself and what it does, but I can't say that they have ever lied. Dancing around the truth is not lying.

Although lying by omission is lying and they are pretty damn close to it.

Someone wake me up if a Senator asks about how Obama did basically the same thing and nobody cared. Or Sheryl Sandberg emailing with Podesta and colluding to get Hillary elected... otherwise his law firm basically already published what he planned to say.
Didn't Obama harvest close to 200 million accounts? They harvested entire accounts, down to every post, image and message. Hillary used the same team.

One thing I noticed in this hearing what Zucker'Borg' saying that Facebook very definitely does not sell data. And then admitting they messed up and sold data to Cambridge Analytics. So which is it? Do they sell data or not?

Zuck'Borg'.... I'm rolling! :ROFLMAO:

Well turns out that Zuckerberg lied to the committee about contacting Diamond and Silk. Diamond and Silk have stated that no one from Facebook has contacted them since April 5th. Zuckerberg stated twice that the issue was resolved. Then an hour ago, Diamond and Silk said that Facebook finally contacted them via TWITTER.

...and Twitter earns its keep how?

We're gonna find out later that Mark Zuckerberg is Facebook and that he is an android.

1 Million accounts with an app that specifically said what it was used for and gave you the option of sending support messages to your friends or not. Anything trying to make them sound comparable is trying to cover their own ass.
