If I'm understanding this correctly, AMD's new card will be designed by RTG but built by Intel

AMD Radeon RX Canis

Process 10nm ++ (Intel)
Architecture Canis 10
Stream Processors 10240
Core Clock (Boost) 1800 MHz (2441 MHz)
Memory 32GB HBM4
Bandwidth 4 TB/s
Peak Performance 50 TFLOPs
Die Size 600mm2
GPU Type MCM
Interconnect Unknown (TSV based)
Feature Level Direct3D 12_2
TDP 350W
Power Connectors 3x 8-pin
Expected MSRP $999
Launch 2H 2018

*EDIT* Is this an April fools? I lose track of the date every year.

It's already April Fool's somewhere...

BUT

Given that Intel and AMD don't compete in the discrete space- yet- why not?

2.5 times more SP?
HMB4? They skipped a generation at HMB3?
1000 more MHz than current Vega64?
Direct3D12.2 Not even announced.

Oh and the $999 price point? That's cheaper than you can find a Vega64.

Yeah it's an early April Fools joke.

But if it were real, it would be an immediate buy.

It's real! Raja will save AMD yet!! Poor Volta!

So much of it ... so much of it seemed like it could be real. I remember last year that I tried really hard to basically ignore everything on March 31 and April 1. This year I totally forgot.

At least some sites have the decency to post that it's an April Fools joke at the end of the article... of course I can't expect WTFTech to do that.

Sadly, this April Fools joke is not too far from a possibility from an AMD and Intel effort.
There is new silicon from Intel with AMD hardware.
However, the idea of AMD and Intel baking new GPUs in the oven that are twice as powerful as a top of the line Quadro and for less than the asking price of current cards at Newegg?

$999 for a card that outperforms a $7000 part from a competitor? And with an elaborate idea that any Steam user with 100 hours could buy one at MSRP?

Yeah, its April 1st.

Found the cooler AMD is going to be using.
