Titan Quest, the best Diablo 2 clone out there, is coming to PS4, XB1 and Switch in 2018 (EDIT: XB1 and PS4 version releases March 20, with the Switch version TBD). The game is also seeing a relaunch on the PC around the same time. It will include Immortal Throne and Ragnarok. There is a special edition that comes with a 9.15" Spartan helmet replica available for preorder right now.

It looks like the many skills your toon can have will be handled by a rotary interface that changes the active skill on the triggers.

Wow, after all these years Titan Quest is certainly making a comeback recently. Good game, finished both the original and expansion. Couldn't get into Grim Dawn however. Might have to pick it up on the Switch once its released.

Fantastic game for it's time and even now. Definitely held me over until D3. In some ways this game was the Diablo many were waiting for many years.

Recently bought it again with the new expansion on Steam. Was even able to import my old characters and items.

Hell yes. Played through this and its expansions on PC back in the day. This will be a welcome addition to my XB1.

I mean...yeah, Titan Quest is/was a great game. But if there is truly enough demand for this to warrant porting a 10 year old game, I have to wonder why no other modern RTS ARPG games are being developed/released. I thought stuff like Grim Dawn was pretty good?

Titan Quest isn't an RTS, and I blame the MOBA genre for essentially killing RTS. Look at Dawn of War III and what a trainwreck that is.

As far as ARPG, there are plenty of smaller developers still making them, but their momentary spike in popularity a few years ago with the like of Path of Exile and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing has certainly died down. I really can't think of any newer releases off the top of my head.

You are right, I meant ARPG - apologies.

This dropped today and I bought it on XB1. Installing now, will post thoughts later. No X enhancements, unfortunately. Trying to decide how I want to build my first toon...

Initial impressions are good. Movement is a little sticky. Abilities being mapped to the D-pad is going to take some getting used to. You can aim your abilities by holding the respective button and tilting the left joystick, but this is cumbersome with the D-pad. Like the PC version you can map an ability to the "right mouse button," or right trigger in this case, and replace the basic attack on the left trigger. You cannot remap the controls in the game. Having an Elite controller, I may switch the D-pad and right stick (right stick only controls zooming from what I've tried so far). This version zooms out a lot further than the PC, but the issue is you cannot attack unless an enemy is highlighted and there is a hard limit to when this happens. UI is well designed for the console and easy to read on my 4K TV. Other than that, it's the same game as the PC version including the lighting glitches and occasional hitching. It looks like there is some ambient occlusion going on which was not in the PC version last time I played it.

I decided to keep things simple and go with a shards elementalist.

I have a concern about the included content, though. See below.
June 26th for the Switch version,

You can Pre Order it at Amazon for $29.99

Says only Standard Edition though, I heard that the consoles where getting the Anniversary Edition?
It includes all the AE updates. What worries me, though, is the achievements make no mention of Act IV or the recent expansion. Are they really going to gouge people on the consoles by making them pay extra for Immortal Throne and Ragnarok? The announcement I linked in the OP says the console versions include Immortal Throne. I guess I'll have to wait until I get through Act III to find out. You are able to choose the Dream mastery, so at least there is that.

I hope they include atleast Immortal Throne, that would be really lame if they didn't. As for Ragnarok, who knows, they will probably have it available through DLC. Is Ragnarok even a official expansion or is it player made?

Ran into an annoying bug that killed my enthusiasm for playing last night. When you're trapped, you can't attack at all, even with ranged weapons.

Ragnarok is an official expansion.

They released an X Enhanced patch for the XB1 version yesterday. It now runs extremely badly. It was probably running at 20-25 FPS. It was going at 50-60 FPS prior to the patch. I don't think I can play it anymore until they tone it down and fix the annoying issues like not being able to attack while ensnared.

Found a Reddit post addressing the patch, so looks like they are aware they messed up and are fixing it for the next patch.

Dev is updating their original post as you can see above. The Xbox and PS4 patches are now live. The game is running great again and looks good in 4K. Removing the 30 FPS cap helps a lot. The movement response fixes a lot of frustration, but unfortunately you are still unable to attack when you're ensnared by an enemy.
