What would you do? I have a Note 8 as my personal phone already. This would be for my work one on a business account. So at&t has to sell it.

Battery life would be priority for a work phone for me, so I would go with a 5T, Mate 10 Pro, or maybe the Pixel 2 XL. I can get 5-7 hours of SoT on my 2 XL over a full day usually. I'll attach a screenshot I just took today.

Plus I don't care much for Samsung's or LG's software in terms of sustained performance and slow support/updates.

AT&T has to sell the phones and the ones you listed they do not sell. As this is a business phone on a business account bought from AT&T.

Thanks though

Ahh, garbage. I guess in that case, I would go with the S9+ or maybe the S8 Active then. The V30 Thinq looks like a solid phone on the hardware front, but LG apparently has yet to push any security/software updates to the first V30 since October and the Thinq is shipping with Nougat still somehow from what I see. Samsung is at least decent with security updates.

Edit: I see other sites saying the V30S Thinq is actually shipping with 8.0 Oreo. But my assessment stands; it will be staying on whatever software it ships with for a while.

s9+, or just a regular s9 since you already have a large personal phone.

I'd get the V30S THINQ, but only because I'm not a fan of Samsung's Infinity Display. The 18.5:9 aspect ratio along with curved edges makes viewing certain 16:9 content in full screen almost unwatchable in landscape. I'd assume the THINQ will come with Oreo pre-installed since LG has already begun pushing Oreo to its regular V30 phones on Verizon (other carriers likely to follow soon).

But if you have a Note 8 then I'm sure you've already decided that the Infinity Display is fine for you.

I like my S9+ a lot. My work phone is a V30. I'd take the s9+ over the v30.
