Seasonic PRIME 750W Gold Power Supply Review

Seasonic has been on point with its PRIME power supplies lately on the Titanium and Platinum spectrum. Funny that a "Gold" efficiency PSU from Seasonic seems like a "low end" product, but rest assured, it seems that Seasonic is incapable of producing anything that is low-end now days. Is its new 750 watt PRIME Gold, [H] Gold?

Love the quality of these PSU reviews.

The Summary paragraph for each functional test is very helpful due to the mention of competing units and how they stack up.

Very helpful for general comparative context.

Best PSU reviews around. Seasonic continues to impress, they're my go-to for new builds for a while now. Just a matter of deciding on the capacity and model.

It's not needed though....at totally the opposite end of the spectrum and it does everything you could ask of...a damn unit not even bronze rated I don't think....just built better than some thought...personally seen some of those older units run for like 3-5 years....

I read the review more for self-validation than to learn how the PSU did. It did as all SeaSonics do, just as I knew it would.

I've never been disappointed by a SeaSonic.

Yeah they were always raved about etc.

So is this this the slightly newer Prime Ultra line?

This wattage and efficiency is the one I'll get for my next build. I might get the 750w Titanium but that will only be if my PSU fan is visible.

I recently did a couple of builds using M12II Evo units but I have people telling me they are no longer recommended. Should I only stick to Focus and Prime units now?

I love that Seasonic basically competes with itself to ensure customers are getting a great product and the warranty length backs that up.
My next build will have a Seasonic PSU no matter what.
This PSU at that price seems like steal of a deal, too.

Sees a new seasonic review

Almost getting boring. Guess we need to go buy some more EVGA PSUs, but I really don't feel like paying to have the load bank rebuilt after the fire.

I've personally used Seasonic (or Seasonic-built Corsair) PSUs exclusively since 2003. In fact, my very 1st Seasonic still runs a Core2 just-in-case PC & works perfectly, 14+ years later. (I did swap the fan a while back, but only for less noise at idle.)

While I'm no fan of shopping by brand name, Seasonic has earned their position with tip-top reviews for almost 20 years. Think I'll stick with them.
