Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Seems like performance is going to be a real issue for people... there are streaming pauses, even in their official promotional material. No es bueno.

Although the question remains: The devs said that no builds have been seen or run by anyone post August 2017. If that's the case then that means even these January and February 2017 youtube previews and such are all running off that older footage. They also said that people are going to be pleasantly surprised. I hope so.

Of course I hope so too.

I wonder when the review embargo is up...would be nice if it was reviewed prior to release...would show they have some confidence in the game

https://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/news...4-day-one-patch-download-size-is-23gb-1810804

I can't tell if that's going to apply to all the platforms but dang...that's got to be one of the biggest day one patches I've personally come across or can remember. 23GB. It takes the game up to 46GB in size when it's all said and done.
Awesome. I've been wondering what kind of bugfix/performance patches would be coming out post launch.. seems they're all over it! I still expect more in the weeks following as it is played on wide ranges of hardware and people begin to report bugs.

Not sure is this is a real screenshot

Hard to believe. Read some of the rest of the comments in that thread.

It looks realistic maybe they used some kinda special thing for Shadows on the Trees to make it look that way.
Then again it says Community created artwork on the screenshots so it's hard to say.

Did you go the CD Keys route or use Steam?

I had $40 sitting in my Steam wallet that I had accrued. So I'm out of pocket $20. That turns this into a no-brainer decision for me.

The worse case scenario of course is I have inside of two hours of firing the game up to hit the refund option. I rarely if ever do that. This game would have be past atrocious and unworkable for me to do that. I'm voting with my wallet here.

GMG has had some nice discounts going as well.

Unless FC5 is good, and I REALLY hope it is.

It should deliver the goods if you're a fan of those games like I am. I know what I'm getting.

This game is very well timed for me. I'm in quite the dry patch right now.

Legitimately told my fiance I'm unavailable for the next few days.

Last time I told her that was when Witcher 3 came out.

I think it is going to be fantastic, based on game play videos from the last year or so. I've been waiting for a "historical" RPG that had zero magic or fantasy written in so I am pretty psyched for KC: D.

I also think it is going to catch all kinds of shit.

Primarily from people who expect this to be an RPG along the lines of The Elder Scrolls games, or The Witcher series. People are going to complain about the realism aspect (damn near simulation) of the game even though for the entire development cycle the devs have been harping on KC: D being as realistic and historically accurate as possible.

I played the beta and loved it. Just felt like it needed a bit of polish and a lot of optimisation. The beta was quite an old build though.

I don't know if the screenshot is real. It seems like it could be, but also a bit doctored. But yeh, the forests in this game are the most realistic looking I've ever seen. Wondering through them and the fields is just amazing if you enjoy good game scenery! It runs on CryEngine btw, so that's why it's got that photo-realistic sorta thing going on.

I'm sure you know about this but they said the latest build that was public (including for you guys) was back in August. They said that everyone like you will be "pleasantly surprised" come tomorrow.

I'm a fan of the CryEngine and the idea that people could be making mods for this has broader ramifications since I wasn't aware CryEngine games were moddable.

Yeh I hope so. What I played was very promising! AMD also just put out some drivers to help performance :)

I can't wait to see the mods for this game. Not sure what'll be possible with them, but I can imagine some of the cool things people would do. Hopefully the TES modders will take to this game!

I figure the fighting game play is what it will get knocked about most. There will be praise for it as well probably. I havent played it at all but this seems to be the biggest gripe/complaint subject I have heard. I think its going to be one of those you will either love it or hate it arguments.
